Well...
I owe Raul, and OneAngryDwarf a dew already for my Beatty offering... and that seemed to get some results... so here's the next deal...

Wanted:
Video of the 810 Stack stealer crossing the bar.

Reward:
a dew.

I'm very interested in seeing that bot in action.
Anyone with video would be much appreciated.

um, does it have to be in competition, because if yes, then um, keep your dew. if not, i can dig up some stuff for you, still shots and what not for now, and have a video in a few days (friday would probably be the first day i can get to the bot).

Nope, not what I'm looking for.
I'd like some footage of them crossing the bar while carrying a stack, using that cool mechanism they have.

If anyone can get it, it'd be much appreciated.

Like Ian said, you won't find footage of them doing it in competition. At MD, they were lucky if they moved. At LI, they never succesfully went over/under the bar (with or without stacks). They tried twice in practice, and both times didn't line correctly and started to "lift" the bar. They never tried it in competition. They also only grabbed a stack once. However, as soon as they tried to lift it, the stack came loose.

It was a great concept, and with another 2 weeks of tweaking, they might have gotten it to work.

Like many devices, the nature of the competition almost prohibits this device from working. It's not that it can't work, it's that with all the bashing and all the stack attacks, the device won't work. But its a great idea that is awsome, just the competiton didn't allow for a sucessfull execution of its design.

Otherwise, I want to see a video of it too.

I'll settle for a video from the pits... I just want to see the mecanism work...

update on video...

we'll be using the robot at "LIFT", some forum for tech teachers, next wed. i'll have video of us from there if possible, and since it's a place for us to show off, we'll definitly try to make a mockup of the bar to go under/over on.
