Last-Minute changes?
 

Hey, it's the night before we(358) leave for nationals, and we're all scrambling around, thinking about completely changing our wheel/shaft design and stuff beginning Thursday morning. Anyone else making crazy last-minute changes?

At LA we replaced all four wheels, replaced both window motors, took off the suction cups and their two globe motors, and installed a horn.

We will be replacing two of our tires. They had so much traction the treads got ripped off :) We will also be attemtping to get our shifter working. Also working on other random stuff...like programming (we had to redo our autonomous program since it endangered people that stood too close)

Glad we're not alone:rolleyes: I myself have almost been mowed down by our robot on more than 1 occasion

Yup we got a new arm coming Arm Version 8.8!!!!! this one should produce some better results. We can only hope!!!! Right Mr. Moe

Just a reminder, if you make changes after you get inspected, you need to be reinspected.

At the midwest regional after practice matches we completely swapped out one side of our robot, from the drill motors, to the mounts, to the gears, to the box it was in. The whole thing completely new. (thanks for the help 68!)

And we did the other side before we left on saturday.

And i think we are putting on a whole new grabber or atleast parts of it that got busted while my partner and i were driving a bit agressivly against the very team that gave us so much help fixing our robot:)

We arent making changes or improvements, just getting it back running. In the last match of the finals in NYC we broke a gearbox shaft in half. Not good.

I want to add some suction cups!!!

We are adding new treads (which we think are better) as well as belt tensioners to see if that solves any of our problems with our belts coming off. :D
