Which field are you watching?

for those of you who didn't get to go, which field are you tracking over webcast?

Amanda Morrison 11-04-2003 15:58

I'm watching both Curie and Galileo... my favorite Indiana teams are there. :)

BionicAlumni 11-04-2003 16:59

I am watching curie.

Baxter is AMAZINGLY fast. Haven't seen Hammond yet. Kingman looks good, but getting qp's for them seems like a task.

Nevermind, I just saw hammond play cyber blue. WOW all I can say is WOW. Flailer vs Flailer. Hammond looked to get more of the stack, but cyber blue got about 1/4 of the wall or so.

Curie looks awesome.

edit
25 looks awesome too!

Christina 11-04-2003 17:06

I'm trying to watch Newton (since that's where 73 is) but my feed isn't the greatest, it's a bit choppy, so I might go back to the other NASA feed since that one was better for me. We'll see though. :)

Alex Salomonsky 11-04-2003 17:23

i'm watchin Newton, cuz my teams mentor teams 122 and 345 are competiting is that division

kristen 11-04-2003 17:43

I'm watching all four!! ;)

I'm watching the webcast for Archimedes, currently. I watched Newton a little bit earlier, but I'm mostly just watching Archimedes. (MOE and Sparky... come on, how could I watch any other field?!)

MissInformation 11-04-2003 18:07

I'll probably check out all of them, but first I went to Curie because I wanted to see if I could catch a round with 343's cute little Sailbot. I fell in love with this robot in Richmond.

343 is doing awesome.

That team really knows how to play this game.

^ Shane, I love you :)

I'm tracking team 1180 in gal. division. They where part of the regional winning alliance at Peachtree and did not have enough money to enter the chamipionship. We had the money for championships but not for travel. So as the regional rookie all star and J&J Sportsmanship winning team at Peachtree we gave team 1180 the $4000 to enter championships and represent the state of Georgia and Peachtree regional.

That is possibly one of the coolest thing I have ever heard.

That is what FIRST is all about.
team 1002 I commend you

Very very cool. Thank you for setting the bar regarding Gracious Professionalism. I'm now keeping my eye on 1180 and rooting for them too.

We were wishing we could help 968 get to championships - they won the Arizona regional and were the finalists in the SoCal regional, but didn't have the money. Hopefully next year 968 and us will be there.

Melancholy 11-04-2003 18:46

Back and forth between Newton for 271 and Galileo for 263.

263 and 271 haven't had a match together or against each other in the past two years, not even a practice match. They've been to both LI Regionals and Nationals in the past two years. It would be much easier for me if they were both in the same division, and I would love to see them against each other or even more so with each other, but oh well. :p

David Kelly 11-04-2003 18:54

you should have a choice of watching all of them. /me sitting at SOAP table :]

Caleb Fulton 11-04-2003 19:08

Baxter gets better and better EVERY time I see them...

Joe Lambie 11-04-2003 23:45

I am watching Newton all the way up here in Houghton, MI. Good ole Team 93 is out there, hopefully they can pull out some surprises on Saturday as I so fondly remember doing over the last 4 years. Good Luck to Everyone!!!

Elyse Holguin 12-04-2003 01:37

i'm a new fan of 1002

wheeler and team 1002, rock on! you guys now have a good portion of 71's undying love and support for your deed.... you'll have the rest when i telll the rest of the team what you guys did for 1180, and we'll be watching them too (and even though i'm in curie, i'm constantly watching galileo for 461 and 108)..... now 1002, where are you guys located in georgia? no reason for asking this... yet.. :D

Back to Curie just in time to see that 343's little Sailbot is first seed and one of their alliance partners for the semi-finals is team #25 (Big Mike's team!). The sound isn't so great so I missed their second partner.

I also noticed team 121 has been picked for the semi-finals. Last year their robot was my favorite (after my team's robot, of course). I haven't seen their robot from this year yet.

Thanks! And good-luck to your team in the semi-finals! I'll give your team a few cheers as well as Sailbot!

Even with a great robot and the good flight crew your team has, a little luck doesn't hurt, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you!
