What is your favorite post-season competition?

On the west coast we have 2 post season events and we hear about events in other areas of the country.

What is your favorite post-season event?

Mike Ciance 14-04-2003 20:27

My favorite post-season event was the Brunswick Eruption that my team (25) held last November. Our school layout is perfect for competitions and we had great food.

Definitely IRI. You can't beat a 2-day event with all the best teams in the Midwest. Plus, we were 1st seed and winners last year. It was a great time!

you guys holding it again? caus we were thinking we might possibly, (would have to work out the details, such as if we could have the school for the day.)

i would love to try and get my team together to show all the new members how the competitions run, i remember my freshman year on the team we went to rumble in the hills, at watchung, which was awesome.

Beantown Blitz

I'm working on making the Beantown Blitz a new favorite... lets just say I'm doing my best to make it a reincarnation of Rumble

I hear so much about IRI that I might try to travel out there personally this summer... it would be a fun road trip

Otherwise, I always had a good time at Battlecry

Ramp Riot of course ;)

Although Brunswick Eruption, PARC, Duel on the Delaware, and the MD State Fair were all extremely enjoyable as well.

IS there any question??

Battlecry has all the best teams from the northeast, a great set-up, good refs;) , and we're going for the hatrick this year, hope we don't have to flip rage to win it:(

At this point there is one off season per month for the entire fall. The "local group" moves the November competition to Bridgewater this year. There is also PARC in May.

It takes a good year to plan one of these and do it right. I know Paul K. is already well into that process.

The Duel

I enjoyed working on the Dupont Duel on the Delaware host by teams 316 and 365 last year. We plan on having it again this year.

2000 Ramp Riot is my fav since it is the first FIRST competition I ever attended. I still remember running victory laps around the gym like it was only yesterday.

The WRRF's CalGames...

My favorite

I have always thought the most underrated and one of the best put together offseasons each year is Mayhem on the Merrimack. They usually have a very solid group of teams from the northeast, and the competition runs smoother than most other offseasons.

Andy Grady
