Well, I'd be pretty arrogant if I put my own team on the list, even if I do happen to like my own 'bot.... so how about we say the top ten, excluding your own team?

So, in no particular order:

I can identify all except 258 and 831 as West Coast teams. I don't recall where they are from. Maybe that has something to do with their absence from other lists? Everyone doesn't get around the way you do Carolyn.

BTW 814 was one of my favorites as well. If the riobot didn't burn you the fabric would.

With the quality of bots this year this should be expanded to the top 25, afterall there were 800+ bots.

Missing from the great ones above are many great bots not at the Championship due to their number or lack of $$$.

Lets give credit to soem of the ones that were great at regionals but could not make the championship.

My favorite robot out of the top ten would have to be 25...

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Heatwave, team 312. Their autonomous mode can not be compared to any other teams (except for maybe Wildstang who was able to usually take out a stack or two before getting on the ramp). 312 was able to take out an entire wall within seconds and it worked pretty consistently. I also was very impressed with Metal in Motion (343) with their overall performance. Good job to everyone!

And by drivers, ours was amazing.

My personal favorite bot, as has been since I saw them at Buckeye, is 378 - I wish they would've been in our division.

I was kind of partial to 188, 121, and 126 in Curie.

Of course, the national champion alliance is a given.

Dont' worry big guy, we all know it's in fun and games. My top 10 list doesn't so much relate to the robot, as it does the team mates and drive teams. A well spirited and professional team can make a teams robot seem that much better.

I'm suprised that there have been so few mentions of 365, 73, and 236.
Also, I liked 980 and 267's powerful and versitile robot

How bout everyones top lists not incuding their own team... we all know that your true favorite is going to be your own team.

I definitely see the way this list is leaning to the midwest and east. Only 3 times have I seen west coast teams mentioned...even then it seems as if it was prompted by someone else and an afterthought...oh well...

First off, i wanna note that all the bots at nats (and those that i saw on the webcam from other regionals) were AWESOME! Everyone did a great job!

No-one mentioned 212 though! :( *THE TANK!* (check it out in the pic gallery)

Personally, i think 25, 233, 16, 68, 47, 111, and 45 were truly amazing (bots are in no particular order).

HOT BOT is #67.

How could I forget?, but then that is one of the teams I always think of by name rather than number. I kind of thought that it should be familiar, but just couldn't place it at the time.

I don't think we've met 831 yet. But your information confirms my point. That some very good West Coast teams are missing from these top ten lists, possibly because they are west coast teams. Not to imply any deliberate slight on the part of others, it is just that we don't associate much with more eastern teams and so tend to be less well known. The BeachBots went to IRI last year (and had a great time in spite of a marginally functional robot) specifically to get to know some of the other teams that would be playing there. This year we might be back, but we might go to a different off-season comp instead, just to meet different teams. It depends somewhat on finances and interest.

I'm glad you had a good time. Come back anytime. Not that I had anything to do with it. But I was glad to see you in person.

192 and 254 are not only good friends of ours (go bay area teams ;)), but have great bots. And 359 was part of our Hawaiian Spicy Mustard alliance in the finals at SVR (it was 2 hawaiian teams and us).

Another bot I like was 701's bot. That triple-jointed arm was sweet. And I've been in love with 295's bot all season long. They were one of the only teams at Sacramento that has a better auton mode than us. :p

Everyone knows us as Spicy Mustard or Couch Bot now. I think we'll have to change our name... Bye bye Megaforce. ='(

I also thought that 25 and 47 had exceptional bots. There were others, but I can't remember their team # right now.
