Who loves Brandon Martus?
 

So, since someone decided to post something not too wonderful about our favorite CD webmaster yesterday, I decided a different question. Who thinks Brandon is the greatest webmaster in the world? I know I do...

I like Brandon Marcus ;)

This thread shouldn't be in this forum... it's not 'Forum Help'... or a 'Comment', or a 'Suggestion'. Don't do this just because of what someone else posted.

Well... I was trying to find a good place to put it... I thought it seemed like a "comment" to me. Our esteemed webmaster can move it if he sees fit, but I figured it was as good of a place as any.

I think Brandon does an amazing job of running these forums.
Just think of all the weirdos he has to deal with!

Actually by definition, this thread counts as a comment to the webmaster and how he runs this site.

I'm glad some people like (or silently tolerate) the way things are run around here. I'm just trying to keep things orderly. I welcome any criticism that comes by way of a full proper sentence not involving the word hate, so don't be afraid to speak out and ask for any changes in the way things are run. This place is for all of you to discuss FIRST -- so it should be a place you want to come back to day in and day out .. or more, for some of you...er..us :)

not that this hasn't been posted 20 times allready ;), but I have a little to add...

Let me tell anyone who may think that brandon isn't devoted to cd this:

Brandon is always on CD...

1 AM - On cd
2 PM (at work) - On cd
6 PM (while eating dinner) - On cd
8 AM - On cd
1 PM (When the powers out at his house, so he must get to the internet some other way) - On cd

I'm not lieing either, I really have talked to him about cd at all those times. Anywho...

For everyone who was at the web hug down @ nats, you most likely signed a award thanking brandon for his work... (remember, he has a job, wife, friends, work, and life (*cough* :p... go nerds!) and yet he still devotes all this time to cd w/o getting paid.)

I've heard all the "ew, Brandon Martus" comments, but seriously, this guy rocks.

A cute anecdote for you: I decided on Monday that I would fly out to Texas on Wednesday, so packing and all I didn't get a chance to figure out what teams all my cd friends were on. I also forgot to remind myself and re-check the time for the webhug (so I missed it :() Luckily, however, I have AIM capabilities on my phone. So who did I IM in Texas? Brandon Martus...He helped me find my cd friends! I would give him the screenname & he would tell me the number. Seriously, I wouldn't have met Alaina, Johca Gaorl, or Harrison without him...See, and you said you wouldn't be in Texas, Brandon! :D

He works hard on cd too. He constantly tries to update the site to make it easier for everyone. Which, as I am the webmaster of our own website (http://mercury1089.tk) :], let me just tell you, gets really difficult.

And, when I made a javascript for my robotics banners and I couldn' t get it to fit right on my own personal page, he spent an hour with me trying to help. for no real reason whatsoever. I think that deserves some credit at least.

Brandon Martus is Way cool!
He was so nice and laid back when I approached him about participating in CD for reasearch on a book. He didn't even criticize the hurried story outline I typed up and Emailed to him (Oh it was a mess!).

Contrary to popular belief due to a picture on these forums (cough I'manidiot cough), I also do not swing that way but I do appreciate that man Brandon Martus and everything he does. He must secretly live in the internet to do all that he does. Thanks for everything you have and will done.

can't really say hes my favorite CD webmaster

he's definatly not the greatest anything in the world, hes just a person that runs this site

and in response to the subject, i dont love him.

I think Brandon does an excellent job on this site and makes a positive impact on FIRST. Every time I have a silly little trivial question, he takes time out to answer me. He runs this site with effeciency and grace and always has a witty comment to follow any inappropriate thread.

Brandon's more than just a great webmaster - I assume he must be a pretty great guy to do what he does for Chief Delphi and FIRST.

I've always admired the way you manage to allow free-speach on these boards while still maintaining order--not an easy task with the shear volume CD has seen recently.

I know people don't thank you often enough, but know that we all really do appreciate everything you do. CD is the most amazing message board I've ever visited, and I credit a large portion of that to your excellent leadership.

So, in conclusion: thank you, thank you, thank you!

Wow, I haven't been on here for a while, but seeing this, I have only one thing to say:

I LOVE YOU BRANDON!!! (That is like in a good but not sick way ;) )

The only time Brandon hasn't talked to me (while not away on AIM) was when he had a meeting to goto. He is the coolest dude that I've met period.

If Brandon didn't run this board, it MIGHT be utter-chaos.
