*grumbles at not being able to die her hair*

Carolyn Duncan 15-02-2002 22:07

Awww It's ok Angela. You could wear a cool wig... I had a silver one last year that was neat-o. I have yet to figure out what my hair will look like for nats... I know it'll be short and other than that I have no idea. Why can't you use wash out hair dye? There are some that wash out really quickly.

AdamT 16-02-2002 22:05

Mmm, fun, a wig, over a head of hair, in really hot weather, covering where your body gets rid of over 50% of it's heat. Sounds like fun to me.

Carolyn Duncan 16-02-2002 22:31

Geez! You make it sound sooooo much more fun than it was... hehehe No, really it wasn't so bad. The hard part was the people who were messing with it all the time. That got annoying. The best part was when one guy ave me a flashlight, their team was giving them out, and said something about every platinum blonde needing a spotlight... That was a riot! It made the mentors on my team kinda give me dirty looks...

AntiCrombieDuck 17-02-2002 11:46

ok someone needs a mohawk! that would be soo fly. and if it was a girl, that would be even more funny!

A. Snodgrass 19-02-2002 03:04

absolutely no mohawk! My friends have been trying to get me to do one for the competition that arent IN the competition. I told them and Ill tell you, at least in my case its not happening. I wouldnt mind seeing it, as long as its not me

Dave_222 19-02-2002 12:56

Im not a girl but illget a mohawk.

AntiCrombieDuck 19-02-2002 20:40

Yea go Halo, please show up at Team 38s pit! U RULE if u get 1,i think i might rock the kilt if i can get 1

Dave_222 20-02-2002 12:59

FYI I wont be at nats. Ill be at the Philladelphia Alliance Regional.

Bondage 20-02-2002 17:45

Yeah. I'd be willing to get a hawk too. but I'm not going to nationals either. not enough hours. *growls* seems idiotic that 150 hours is "not enough hours" owell. Hope all of you have fun there!

Dave_222 21-02-2002 12:57

I have enough hours I just dont have $250.

AntiCrombieDuck 21-02-2002 15:11

ouch 150 isnt enough that stinx! we only had to make 100, after that i stoped counting

AdamT 21-02-2002 18:32

Shoot, our students don't have a certain amount they had to come *which really annoys me* but they do have to pay like $300 for Nats. I know I put way more then 150 hours in this thing.

Carolyn Duncan 22-02-2002 12:09

The students on Team 86 were required to sign up for 2 shifts, of 4 hours each, per week. They were watched to ensure quality work, meaning that they were helping or doing productive things and not standing around staring at the walls. After we use the club funds to pay bills the rest is divided among students to lessen the cost of their trip to nationals. The trip to regionals is so close that everyone who wants to go can just drive down. From what I've been told not many people plan to go on a day other than Saturday because of school. These kids are afraid to miss school... I don't get that... but yeah that's how our team works.

Matt Ryan 22-02-2002 12:18

Our team isn't going to nationals this year due to the School Committee limiting student field trips and events within the New England region.

We're very lucky to be able to go to UTC. Unfortunately, nationals will have to wait a year.
