It is always freezing in the pits when they first open. If it is sunny all day and gets up to 90deg or so, the pits start getting comfortable by mid-day. On an overcast day, the pits are cold all day long. Maybe this is a way to get people to go outside to reduce crowding in the pit tents.

Well I thought the pits were freezing. The first day of comps I was purple, and was called the popsicle. I had to be outside all day except for our matches when I was on the field. The following days I was wearing jeans and long sleeves all day.

Yeah I am a newbie... and I was thinking you guys meant kilts to wear for the entire time.... not just in the pits....... because Orlando isn't exactly a cool place... so yeah.. if the pit is cold... go for it..

AdamT 07-02-2002 01:06

It's ok, we forgive you this time....yeah, bring a sweatshirt for the pits.

Who says the pit needs to be cold for me to wear a kilt :D

Dave_222 07-02-2002 13:18

I thought the pits were hot but that is because I love the cold and i usually dont get cold. yep cold weather is the weather for me. I thought our one engineers was crazy because he had a sweatshirt geans and steeltoe boots on. Oh wait he always has that on. I wore shorts and the most un comfortable team shirt ever. bright orange soccer gersey.

A. Snodgrass 07-02-2002 22:59

I personally thought the pits were freezing....And I KNOW it wasnt just me. I found the difference between how cold it was inside and how warm it was outside to be interesting...it made clothing selection past bringing a sweatshirt difficult

AdamT 07-02-2002 23:04

It seemed to me that different parts of the pits were warmer then others. Kinda weird. Well, not really. But yeah...ok.

A. Snodgrass 07-02-2002 23:18

Actually the hallway between the playing fields and the main pits was warmer...I didnt notice anyplace else though

AntiCrombieDuck 08-02-2002 23:14

Wetzel 08-02-2002 23:19

mnkysp6353 09-02-2002 01:55

Wetzel 09-02-2002 02:01

I was a boy scout...
Now I am just a scout...

AdamT 09-02-2002 02:16
