Summer Concerts

Anyone going to any concerts this summer?

Im going to see Pearl Jam on June 22nd and I am also possibly thinking of going to see Lollapalooza in July. If that fails my backup concerts are going to be either the Warped Tour in June or Aerosmith/Kiss in August

The Complex Tour sold out at Washington D.C. for the first leg, but I hope to go durring the second leg. If they announce the second leg and I can go, mabey I'll get a small group of FIRSTers to go with me and rock out...

Josh Hambright 09-05-2003 12:56

I'll be going to lolapalooza and probably warp tour(GLASSJAW GLASSJAW GLASSJAW!!! RANCID RANCID RANCID!!! OMG!)... and i might goto ozzfest but i only wanna see the headliners so i dont really wanna sit on the lawn. And i might go see lolapalooza in SLC because A Perfect Circle is gonna play. Umm thats it that i know of so far...
I'll be going to lots of local concerts and concerts in indy as usual!

Brandon Martus 09-05-2003 13:11

I was on concert hiatus for a while, but it seems to have picked up lately.

Two weeks ago: A Static Lullabye, Brand New
Last weekend, Further Seems Forever, the Juliana Theory, The Ataris
passed up the Deftones last night, didnt feel like going.
This weekend: (possibly) Yellowcard, Rufio, Lagwagon
Next Monday: My Chemical Romance
the 23rd: Fall Out Boy, The Early November

Warped tour this summer looks good too.

Jimmy Buffet @ Alpine Valley for the 3rd straight year!!!

DanL 09-05-2003 14:39

=o?!

I'm thinking about getting tickets to that whole Bonaroo concert dealie since it's happening practically in my back yard (well, other side of the Island, but close enough) Haven't decided yet, though.... it's supposed to be a few dozen thousand people there... not sure if thats my ideal concert setting.

AJ Quick 09-05-2003 17:21

I'm also checking out The Complex tour! They added another concert in our area the day after the one I'm going to a few Thursdays from now.

Check out the Blue Man Group http://www.BlueMan.com/ !

rbayer 09-05-2003 19:03

I'm thinking of heading up to Winnipeg's Folk Fest July 10-13... might happen, might not. Depends on how the next few weeks go and if I can get time off work, etc.

Dave_222 10-05-2003 22:12

Ill be going to Ozzfest again ( The side stage owned last year ) i wanna go to lolla-pa-luza but i doubt i will. I was supposed to go to Bonnarue but meh.

dlavery 11-05-2003 00:36

July 2 - The [Greatful] Dead
July 12 - The Eagles
July 18 - Metallica

evulish 11-05-2003 01:11

I might be going to a Ben Folds/(Tori Amos...blech) concert and a Dave Matthews Band concert. Yeah. I've never been much of a concert-goer. Hehe...last night, my parents went to see the Sons of Pitches. :P

Amanda Morrison 11-05-2003 14:34

two words: John Mayer.

mmmmmmm.

That, and Live is coming out with a new CD, so I'm hoping to snag a concert of theirs. (The only other person I know that listens to them semi-religiously is Chris Noble from 461, so I can understand if you don't share my sentiments.)

Yea! I finally convinced someone to go see Jethro Tull (August 7th) with me!

And we're thinking of hitting the Fairfax County Fair on June 6th for Everclear and on June 7th (if we survive our skydiving trip) for Presidents of the United States of America.

Is Sir Mix-A-Lot still in P.U.S.A.? I thought I remembered seeing a Behind The Music that talked about him joining the group. Unless I'm thinking of some other early-90s rapper.. Maybe I'm thinking of a side project.. *shrug*

It was a side project. They also did something with someone from Guns and Roses.

Matchbox Twenty, Spin Doctors, and Third Eye Blind.

All on the same night.

If only I had a lot of money and a time traveling device. Instead I go to none of them.

The 7th? You know we will be going with you Heidi, even though we will not have been to sleep because it is the day after prom...

I'll go see Carbon Leaf whenever they decide to show up around here again.

Nothing else currently planned, other then a vauge "roadtrip to see Great Big Sea"

Heidi should have said yes to Romeo.

Meredith Rice 17-05-2003 22:27

Don't be silly Kel, I already told u that Josh Groban wont be coming on tour until 2004 :( Yes it is sad, but look at it this way, he'll have a new cd out for us to listen to. Dont worry though, u and me are getting front row and backstage passes if its the last thing I do.

CONCERT

I went to the Projekt Revolution tour, two nights ago on the 22nd (july '03). Their was Cold, J5, Mudvayne with headliners of Linkin Park. It was the best concert. I love LINKIN PARK's music. Can Linkin Park put on a show or what?? I had a Blast. I was in the pits, jumping, screaming, pushing, yelling, threw my shirt around in the air, and everything you can do at a Linkin Park concert. It was one of the funest nights of my life so far. They are the best - they dont worry about things like what they are going to wear, or dance. Their real!!!!! The next concert I'm going to is a JOHN MAYER concert, next month. So I was wondering what Summer concert are you all waiting for to go too?? And what band/group/artist??

geo 25-07-2003 19:49

I am going to rolling stone concert in Toronto next week. I hear that it will be biggest concert in North America. (about 500,000 people)

Anyone coming?

JMerc17 28-07-2003 18:28
