I've tried to explain the registration process and the current status on the Indiana First Forums site.
Or... I suppose that I'll be a nice guy and paste below what was written on the Indiana First Forums site. ------------------ (pasted from the Indiana First Forums site) There has been much interest for IRI registration. We are suprised by the interest of many teams who have not attended the IRI before, and we greatly appreciate their interest. Below is our current criteria which explains "who gets to play". This criteria will be further specified in a couple of days. 1. All 16 Indiana FIRST teams have reserved spots 2. Currently, our team capacity is 40. We are looking into ways to increase this number. 3. 30 teams have registered so far. 4. Any team who has registered has a very good chance to play, but this depends on many issues. The final number of Indiana teams and the capacity issue stated above are important. Also, confirmation will depend on payment availability and the time a team registered. The 30 registered teams do not include the 3 organizing teams and 8 other Indiana teams who have not registered. Teams are encouraged to still register... our capacity may or may not increase, and it may or may not increase dramatically. We will know shortly. We have an IRI organizational meeting on Wednesday night (5/14). Team attendance and facility capacity will be the top priority issues, and we will further clarify this criteria at that time. We will make a plan for registration confirmation and payment and we will be as fair as possible to all teams. Hopefully, we can increase capacity to solve this pleasant issue. We appreciate the excitement and interest teams are showing toward the IRI. We promise to make this event the best that it can be and provide a fun, exciting and competitive time for everyone. In a few days, we will be able to publicize new information, ranging from team attendance to scheduling and hotel information. Thanks for your patience. Andy Baker, w/ approval from "the IRI Leadership Crew" |
From what I have heard, as of now they are expecting 40+ teams. That would be a fun event. See You Guys there.

anyways... i think they'd be sticking with the human players we had at the regionals & nationals... no? either way, this year IRI looks like it's gonna be lots and lots of fun, and like there'll be some tough competition every way you look at it... i'm regretting missing it. i hope everyone going has a lot of fun, and i'm going to need an extensive play-by-play when i get back the 29th. good luck to everyone!!!! |
Team 535 will be there!!:yikes:
