Reminds me of another tip over involving us... anyway, I see one CD member in this picture. CAN YOU SPOT HIM?

SarahB 16-05-2003 15:42

No.. but I see me with a look of insane happiness/amazement that most people seem to have. This was soon followed by periods of my super happy dance :D.

Is that 'The Lucas' on the left with MOE? And the dude right above him looks like their captain (who usually has a neon suit)- but I can't recall his CD username right now...

SarahB 16-05-2003 16:08

Yup, that’s Brain “The Lucas”(as he signed my MOE stix :D) and I’m pretty sure that’s Dan-O at the top. DUCKY’s there too next to The Lucas in the PARC shirt. And I’m sure there are at least a couple other CD users in that picture. I thought he meant an actual CD member :yikes:.

unless i am very much mistaken, i see you in there as well.

SarahB 16-05-2003 19:10

You're not mistaken, look at the second post.

Yes, reading is fun :D

a very kind person said and i quote

Team 222 just got revenge for about 400 teams
but my only question is, : Is Fliping us an accomplishment, hmm i guess so, i can bore you with the reasons why we were flipped, but i will not, 222 fliping us is a great accomplishment , and with that fact, i have a great respect for them, and also the other teams on the feild. us being flipped over, provides nice little "cheap shots" that could have been taken advantage of, that is a good sign of gracsious professionalism

OH! btw , that wasnt Steve (goober65) driving that round so dont think that the most skilled driver in first did that :p

ssjcell 16-05-2003 22:00

I wouldn’t be saying that if I were you… you’re likely to get slapped or worse.

I’m sure there are MANY teams that would disagree with you. TJ^2 and 709 come to mind, and there are a lot of other teams with female drivers. Don't blame the whole sex just because one girl screwed up.

evulish 16-05-2003 22:37

I'm in that pic! I'm in that pic! The chuck section (yellow shirts), In our section, i'm in the back right of the bleachers...behind the big guy that's standing. Yeah...I'm staring off into space admiring a light or something (as usual).

Joe Matt 16-05-2003 22:41

Well, I was looking at The Lucas, but Dan-o and Evulish I didn't spot. But I didn't know Furby/Ducky was a poster here.

Mike Schroeder 16-05-2003 22:46

All i see is 103 being all happy and cheering for our flip :( thats a little upseting :p. meh who cares, i was laughing in the player station, then i was wondering why our van door motor wouldnt correct ourselves

team222badbrad 16-05-2003 22:50

Well your just going to have to get your real drivers back arent you???? (It wont make much of a difference anyway!!!)))

I pushed your bot down the ramp and no matter what driver you had you were going to get dumped upside down by the CLAW

:-) And no I have not driven in any 2003 Stack Attack matches (YET)

Just King Of the Hill and like 2 practice rounds

That’s kind of funny, cause Ducky posts more than Dan-O. I looked it up, she has 68, he has 64. Its only 4 posts but still… :P

I’m not a loser really I swear...

GregTheGreat 18-05-2003 01:07

The way I see it, we all will get flipped or tipped eventually.

Good luck to everyone at the invitationals.

Daniel Brim 18-05-2003 01:28

Team 294 has done niether :D but we almost flipped 696 with 1115s robot.

4 years i have competed, and team 25 has never ever been flipped, unless we did it ourselves (2001 robot can do summersaults) so if you are right, i guys this is that time

If you're team has never been flipped, I applaud you're design. Although I don't think that any bot is safe from being flipped with some of those Wedge bots running around on the field.

Good Luck to everyone at the invitationals.

team222badbrad 18-05-2003 13:07

And many more to come...

camtunkpa 18-05-2003 21:15

OK Brad....we don't wanna go down this road again...it's too early in the off season not yet....you better worry about other things first

SkitzoSmurf 18-05-2003 23:09

Yup I am defiantly in that pic looking tired as usual. I was up late hiking up a Pocono Mountain (near our) with Erin Rapacki and Kyle to find a tower with a big blinking light on it. We achieved our goal. For those of you who think "big deal its a light", remember "Life's a journey, not a destination" (lyrics from Aerosmith's song "Blind Man"). Thanks Cliff (camtunkpa) for the "single" occupancy hotel room you provided Erin so we can do random things like midnight hiking.

Sarah is correct, Ducky (Andrea) is next to me in the crew shirt. She is a mentor and 3 year team member just like me (she posted more last year which is why Dan-o's rookie year posts are more noticeable). She was the one who built and wore our giant Uppet mascot during the 2001 year(thats how she got the name Ducky, that thing was entirely supported by duct tape). She was Pit Crew on MOEhawk last year which was a difficult task, cause everyone damaged our wings every match. In this pic, I am making sure not to lose Ducky because it is the end of the comp and she graciously provided me a ride back to UD (we both attend that fine university).

Dan-o is probably reflecting on his year of driving, cause the stacking competition was his last match (He is going to RPI). Correction to a previous statement, Dan-o is the driver, not the team captain (Chris Wilkins) or mascot. Furby (Erin or CD handle: Brm789) is not in the pic. Grant (evulish) you were a hard find. I also see Sarah (at the bottom of next bleacher) with her beatiful MOEsticks at her side. Hey can I get a Fury bag for signing your sticks:D ?

Now about the match. It was a KOH battle special round, that is why everyone is so intent on flipping everyone else . It is just fun not ungracious or against the rules (there basically are none). Adel (ssjcell) don't be so hard on Melanie (she was driving right?). She managed to flip the Robo Wizards in a couple seconds. Tigertrons were waiting for her with their flipping arm after she was done with 522.

Perhaps this is not over. If I can get an Alumni Driver special round at our offseason competition, The Duel on the Delaware, I am sure Big Mike from 25 and Cliff from 222 will sign up for it (since it was their idea  ). If they just happened to be randomly pitted ;) against each other, I wouldn't be suprised (they would beat the laptop with MOEsticks until it ignored the laws of chance and "saw it their way"). However, I would be surprised if either bot made it out of that match in one piece. You will just have to come to the Duel to find out what happens.

Mike Schroeder 22-05-2003 01:31

hmmmm :) i get to break a robot :) havent done that in a while :)

::edit:: Not to sound Ungrasiously Proffesional, i ment our teams bot... i break it once a year.. atleast ::/edit::

Lil'Mellie03 22-05-2003 13:27

Aloha Everyone,

Even though it was terribly upsetting to have been the one responsible for 25's filp, I still think that it was a lot of fun to get in there and try. Thank you to those who didn't "razz" me about it.

And for the record, there are a lot of great women drivers out there who can meet the challanges placed in front of them. I have a lot of respect for them, and it is with this in mind that I drove. I might not be one of them, but I do know that they are out there. Hey, they have my cheers from the stands.

Of course you can have a bag! I'll bring you a whole box of them next time I'm in the Delaware area... which knowing my luck probably won't be until Duel on the Delaware :(. If you can't wait until then just ask Kyle for one. I gave him about 30 at Rutgers and then several more at PARC so I'm sure he has extras.

And thanks again for signing my MOEsticks.. they're my pride and joy :D.

camtunkpa 22-05-2003 19:37

I beat Big Mike

Mike, I beat you to it, I broke our bot the day before PARC, I cracked the light cover doing a full speed run under the bar.....we gotta get this match though....I got my MOE sticks if that laptop doesn't randomly spit the match out.....how bout you!?:D

Mike Schroeder 22-05-2003 19:41

Cliff: cant help ya, i am getting my moe sticks, and puting them on the robot as a bumper :)
although, i hope moe and 316 could forgive me, if we do, we will no longer meet the dimesion required by FIRST:P
