Team 606 in LA Times

There is a nice article in the Los Angeles Times on team 606 (King-Drew Medical). For those of you that get the print copy, it is page B2 (California Section).

For those of you that want to view it online, you will have to register (free) to gain access to the article. The address for the paper is http://www.latimes.com.

Also, if nobody from the team posts the article anywhere, let me know and I'll put it up on page for everyone to read.

Didn't I see an article in the USA Today on your team last week? Or the school at least.

I believe King Drew is team 696.

That's very cool though!

GAH! 696 is the Circuit Breakers from Clark Magnet High in La Crescenta. Their robot is Heather, the one with the flags and pink bumpers.

606 is King Drew.

I've said it a million times but I always get the teams with 6's confused...so sorry! Ugh, I really do need sleep and the school year to be over.

I believe team 599 was in USA today

Yes, you did see an article about the high school in last week's USA Today. (Thanks for letting me know.) The team member quoted in the article will be a co-president of the team next year. There was nothing about the team specifically, however.

Also, as a quick update, the school was given a 1 year charter rather than the standard 5 years.
