I'm on Stage 1 Part 3
no more time for this, time to go to work.... it's very entertaining though! |
Hint for second: Lo_nger
|
Haha I feel silly for not realizing the first word right off the bat. It took me a minute, but hey, I got past it...

Yeah, 3 is not as obvious.
In case you haven't realized it yet, the number of question marks is the number of letters in the answer. Does that help? |
Thanks man I got... at the beginning it said you could use every resourse to figure out the answers.. so I did... I love google...
|
Has anyone managed 1.4 yet?
|
I have no clue on 1.3.
|
I have found the answers for questions all the way up to 1.5 If you want a hint PM me or respond to this post
|

/edit: i got it. realized you cant hit enter, and have to click on continue. but now in 1.3, i cant find the box to write in. is that supposed to be part of the riddle?? :ahh: :ahh: :ahh: |

1.4 was simple. 1.5 took a little bit to get. Anyone get to 1.6?
Oop! I just did. That took a while. *pets geekiness* I'm stuck on 1.7. I got quite a bit of the answer...but there's a few that I'm lost on. (How many brothers for brides?) (RIP race) (And interstellar affair set in which year again?) (Head in box) (How many days after?) (Smoking containers of beer) (The state of Britain) I don't know any of those. Hint: use amazon |
Each clue is related to a movie in some way.
There are numbers in the title of each movie, and you have to add the numbers together. Yeah, I'm pretty far. Three cheers for noon dismissal! |
I got the others pretty quickly, but 1.3 stumped me. I thought about it all day at work and I'm still lost.
Someone PM me and gimme a little hint. :) |
1.3 also is stumping me
|
Okay. . .
Edit: Okay, got passed 1.24. Now I'm on 1.27. I've translated the entire message, but I don't know the proper answer to the riddle. |
Yeah, 1.3 tends to give people a bit of trouble. It stumped me for a long while. The answer is important; don't let it frustrate you too much. As for giving you a hint... I just did. =-]
Good luck on 1.4 when you get to it! |
Grr.......1.4
Stupid 1.4
Headache... Headache... Headache... Headache... Please!! someone help me (P.M. me!) |

Stage 2, here I come.
Does anyone need any more hints for stage 1? |
Yeah, the message is being frustrating to translate. Can you give me a few letters to get me started or something?
|

Edit: I thought I was the only one still trying this. 2.8 is near-impossible to figure out and requires an enormous leap of logic. 2.9 *looks* easy enough, but, yeah. |
1.8 anyone?
|
still stuck on 1.4
feel free to pm me with hints |
For 1.8, you need to count very carefully, but if you do, getting the right answer is fairly straightforward.
In 1.4, read the question carefully. There's a pun in the first half of the answer. 2.8, on the other hand, is frustrating me. I've got the message decoded, and I'm staring at 1.22 and not seeing what I'm supposed to do. Not knowing whether "or" is part of the riddle (French for gold, which is certainly not very hard) is bugging me too. |

1 hour and 40 minutes later, i'm at 1.25. Some were really easy, and a lot use the first trick "the type a word". The gry one nwas evil. the riddle with the boxed and all that was evil. Sheesh this is too fun. Why do palindromes have to be so fun? racecar, mom, noon, madam im adam sigh, these lyrics are truly evil.. it's not "these wheels" it's "big wheels" according to a google search.. sigh. bed is good at 2:45 |
Thanks to MUCH help by M. Krass, we (myself and the four people that joined me) ended up getting all the way to 1.14. What I don't understand (or rather, what isn't made clear) is how the colors are counted... i.e. - what is considered purple and what is considered pink?
I think that's what stumped us. I think the most fun question was the movie titles... the only ones I didn't know were Hitchcock's steps, the vicious circle (man, that one made us angry when we finally figured it out!), and the state of Britain. argh. |
Someone please im me the answer to 1.4

Never mind that last part, I got 2.8.

1.5 has me in a state of mental block.....
|
1.4 stumps me...anyone care to help me?
|
1.5: send the grandmother and mother at the same time. remember you can leave people there.
1.4: think of other names for a horse. you might have one sometimes. usually at night. just like the horse. |
Thanks to the help of M and George I'm on 1.6 now...

I'm stuck on 1.13
1) All my sources seem to indicate that Joseph Farwell invented barbed wire, but it was Joseph Farwell Glidden, and anyway, the single question mark indicates that the answer need a single initial. I can't find any reference to another inventor named Joseph Farwell. I suppose that if you overlook the Glidden stuff, and spell the invention as a single word, you can get a B, but I've tried that with all the other variables I can think of.
2) A Basilisk is a mythical creature with the head of a rooster, and the body of a serpent. I've tried (D)ragon, (M)ythical and (S)erpent (again with all the other variables.) 3) The captain of the 1966 winning world cup team is fairly straightforward -- unless maybe Bobby also goes by Robert. 4) It was fairly easy to come up with the city that the group Oasis hails from. 5) And for the purposes of this quiz, should Pip's convict/benefactor be known by his first or last name? (Only a single initial is requested.) 6) And again, the play that actors believe is unlucky to name is easy. 7) The archangel said to have defeated Satan is an easy one too. (Even though someone on the net wanted to make him a saint. Sorry, only humans qualify.) 8) Crystalline elements / compounds of which rocks are made? Can there be any other word? 9) Mike Nesmith and Peter Tork were members of which group?? Two words!! They want to include the article??? Strange! 10) The Jalapeno Chili is named after the city Xalapa in the state of Veracruz, but considering the pattern that seems to be being set up, they must want the country. But I've tried all three. (But I haven't tried the alternate spelling of Jalapa.) 11) And who saw the burning bush? Oy vey! What schlemiel wouldn't know that? 12) And as for who said "I don't see any American Dream, I see an American Nightmare"?? The only possible answer I could find was Malcom X. Any tips anyone? |
Re: I'm stuck on 1.13
Alright. Here's what I feel like offering...;)
1) Go with Joseph Farwell Glidden's invention. 2) For this game's purposes, I believe it is considered a lizard. 3) Go with Bobby. 5) Last name only. 10) Don't worry about the city or state, just think about what country the jalapeno chili pepper comes from. The rest are easily searchable by the web. This was the hardest out of the trivia triplets, in my opinion. The rest were cake. |
Re: I'm stuck on 1.13 <--scratch that.. 2.8
Go with what amanda just said...
Anybody feel like giving the anti-gifted a hint on 2.8? Please? small hint... |
Hhehe...I typed in something for 1.3 that was completely random...it was apparently the correct answer for 1.4 because I'm on the page for 1.5 now...craziness...
|
finally on 1.5
thanks to tatsak42 |

As for 5, just use the most commonly referred to word. For 2.8, the string of numbers is the message, the letters are an essential part of decoding, but are not meant to be decoded. Ignore the "or." |
Thanks.
On to 1.14
|
Stuck on 1.7 I can't find all of these movies, or quite figure out what number is associated with them...I only have four left, and one that I'm not sure on:
(you??) (RIP race) (interstellar affair) (head in box) (the state of britain) |
RIP Race - think sylvester stallone
Interstellar affair - think stanley. :P and not hockey LOL state of britain: 51st state |
Quote:
head in box... a brad pitt movie. |
EDIT: Never mind, got it. The next one looks interesting.
|
i just can't figure out 1.5.... it has me stumped.... can someone give me a hint?
|
Quote:
this can be completed in 17 minutes. |
Can someone kindly pm me the answer to 1.6. I've tried all the variations I could think of for it and came up empty.
Thanks, indieFan |

here's what i have: bg10/b1/bm5/b1/bg2/19.htm |
think about it...
yes, someone has to bring back the torch... but who says that a) they have to go first and b) either the mom or grandma has to bring the torch back? hope that's enough of a hint. |
Thanks Amanda! now im onto 1.6.....
|
Quote:
maybe i should just stick to studying for my last exam. |
They don't have to go first do they?
|
It's better if they don't because then one of them would have to bring it back.
|
Ok, feeling a little silly right now becuase I am still stuck on 1.6. Can anyone pm me with some hints? Thanks
|
finally on to 1.8
|
im stuck on this one(1.8). can someone help me?? i read the post before that said to count carefully, but im still not getting it.
