FIRST Jeopardy! (6/25)
200 pointer today. The video game character "Jump Man" is usually called this nowadays.
|
Who is Mario?
Orginally Jump Man from Donkey Kong |
What is Mario? ...being grammatically correct and all. ;)
|
Actually, I think it'd be "who is" this time. I'm asking for a name of a character. Arron has 200 points nonetheless.

"The video game character "Jump Man" is usually called this nowadays."
Actually, by writing "is usually called this," you're asking for the word that happens to be a name more than you're asking about the person. :) :p |
But either way, it's still referencing a person (even though it's fictional). So it'd be "who is".
Why are we arguing over this anyway? |
You're asking for the name, and a name is a thing, so it's a noun, so it's what, not who. :P :P :P
We're arguing because I'm bored. |
