Usage of Report This Post to Moderator Function
 

It came up in a discussion between Andrew (of team 104) and I, about what the proper usage of the Report This Post to Moderator Function is.

Are we supposed to use it to report posts in threads that are incredibly off topic?

Is this feature intended only for reporting posts with questionable content?

What are the limits on what we should use Report This Post to Moderator for?

If you see something offensive, or something you think should be taken off the website right away, report it to moderator.

If it is off topic, you can probably post a reply saying "this is getting off topic".

In order words, report the post if it is something you cannot fix.

Basically, if it breaks the forum rules and needs moderator action, report it.
