Of course, if either Maddox or Holmes has a bad day, I may very well have my rear end handed to me.
You'd better hope Maddox favors Burress instead of Ward. Owens is arunteed to abuse the Rams secondary. It wasn't very good last year and it's far far worse this year.
The Steelers stragth is against the run so Holmes sucess may have to come via the passing game.

So longs as the Electrons have Maddox and Holmes racking up yards and points for them they will be tough to beat. Harrington will miss the Cardinals as an angry Packers team has him in their sights. He may even be able to pull off the reciever battle if Price can get free against the Skins. We all know Owens will get his yards on Sunday.

It's Dunedain, folks... and I've been worried about this game all week.

Eddie's got me beat at RB, but I think I match up well everywhere else. I chose to start Harrington this week because I've seen quite a bit of Green Bay, and I'm seriously unimpressed. Plus, even a sub-par week for a Mariucci QB is pretty darn good.

With a little luck I'll be 2-0 after this week, but even if I lose I'll prolly be the highest ranked 1-1 team! =-]

Good Luck to everyone this week!

George

That's really what most games will come down to: a little luck. Murphy's law will kill you (ironically, it killed Murphy last week). If one of my players has a bad week, I'm done for. But, I believe the above quote applies to me as well. :)

Garner is effective running and recieving and is more effective as a reciever than the Cheessteaks other recievers. Chicago is a disaterous choice for starting defense and may doom the Cheessteaks to defeat.

Yeah.. Don't remind me about how bad the Bears defense is.. but who am I supposed to pick up? Detroit? Arizona? Cincinatti?

Week 2 Results
R. I. Electrons(1-0) d. Dunedain (1-0)
111-105
A very close game, Dunedain did pull off the reciever battle with an unspectacular combined 25 points, and he took defense 51-38. However, his luck ran out there, as the Electrons Tommy Moddox and Priest Holmes easily made up for the deficit with 52 points. That was the difference.

Koko's X-Cats(1-0) d. Hurricanes(1-0)
120-94
Jeff Garcia did indeed have a huge week, and the matchup was pretty even all around. However, the two empty spots on the Hurricanes' defense and a bad week for their RBs (a total 3 points) stopped them from making a comeback.

-To Be Determined- (0-1) d. Pinman( 0-1)
121-101
Pinman dominated in defense, with New England scoring 32 points alone. But TBD's Brad Johnson, Ricky Williams, and Derrick Mason easily outscored the rest of Pinmans's offense (despite William Green's -2 score) with a combined 68, pulling TBD to an even 1-1.

CB234 (0-1) d. Cooney Quest (0-1)
119-92
Cooney Quest had only two playes in double digits. CB had 6 players in the double digits, adding up to 90 of his 119 points. Add in his TE's 2 points, and he's set.

Philley Cheesesteaks (0-1) d. 29 Patriots (0-1)
102-52
McNabb did not bounce back to his dominant fantasy football superstar form, pulling in a total of 6 for the pats. The Pittsburgh defense did best that -with the horrible score of 8- and no one else could best that. On the Cheesesteak side of things though, Peyton Manning pulled in the high score of 23, with three others in double digits. You do the math.

Bane (0-1) d. Coco's Monkeys(0-1)
73-33
A grand total of 106. Dunedain had a total of 105 in a losing effort. And it wasn't very close either. The Monkeys had a grand total of 0 on defense (doesn't help that 5 of his defenders were NA). Trent Green was their high scorer with 15, and no one else cleared 8. While still having Michael Vick in the QB slot, Bane managed to scrape together more than enough to overcome the 33, with their WRs and Cleveland scoring 39. The rest was mediocre, at best.

ValleyGirls (1-0) d. Snowballs(1-0)
105-50
Culpepper did his job with 32 points. A solid effort from the K and RBs easily eclipsed the 50 set by the Snowballs's lack of a QB and defense (a mere 9).

Chesapeake Cruisers (0-1) d. Nor Cal Crushers (0-1)
141-102
A great game by both sides, the Cruisers had the totally unfair advantage of Jamal Lewis, pulling in 21. Their defense shined too, pulling in 59 points, all rounded off by Deion Ranch, who pulled in 14. While the Crushers' defensive coalition outscored Chesapeake's with 60, but his offense was merely okay. A great week for both teams, but not good enough for Nor Cal to pull off a victory.

Your Team Name (1-0) d. Scrawny White Guys(0-1)
97-94
Ed called it right on Bledsoe, who pulled in 37 on his lonesome. What's very cool about this one is that it came down to MNF. Unfortnately, matt Bryant only had one shot all night, so he could only make up 3 points. YTN was solid all around, with everyone pitching in at least 1 point, while 3 of the Guys' defenders didn't score at all. Those were the differences in this very close matchup.

WEEK III ANALYSIS

Koko's X-Cats(2-0) vs. Your Team Name (2-0)
The QB battle is huge. Bledsoe traditional gives Miami fits while Brooks takes on a very banged up Titans D. I think it's safge to say Zeroue is a bust and don't be suprised if he finds himself back on the bench soon. Faulk and Martin have been very dissapointing performers this week. Interesting matchup at defense. The Packers get the inept Cardinals this week while the ball-hawking Seahawks get the high risk/reward offense of the Rams that hasn't been seeing as many rewards as it used to.

R. I. Electrons (2-0) vs. Cooney's Quest (0-2)
Ther Electrons are slleping at the wheel playing Urlacher who's on a bye while Farve and the Bucs D are looking at potentially big scoring weeks. Holmes and Maddox once again could cover the deficit for him.

-To Be Determined- (1-1) vs. Dunedain(1-1)
Brady Owens and Barlow could have productive weeks. Donedain will need it using the poor tackling porous Detriot Lions defense on his side. An odd sitution exist for TBD as his starting D is up against his stud running back RIcky WIllaims. Perhaps a good week from Brad Johnson will remedy his problem.

29 Patriots (1-1) vs. CB234 (1-1)
Travis Henry has traditionally been a Dolphins killer (like his predecesor Theurman Thomas) and his season is statiscally a disappiontment but fantasy wise he is solid gold. Bulger needs to be careful with the Ball against the opportunistic Seahawks because the Patriots can't expect much help from their running backs this week.

Bane (1-1) vs. Philly Cheasesteaks (2-0)
Doug Johnson is in for tough sailing this week against the Buccaneers and Bane has an odd quandry at his recievers matchup. While he has an advantage with Marvin Harrison and Plexico Burress Harrison's sucess depends heavily on the sucess of Peyton Manning, the Cheesesteaks starting QB. Using the Cleveland Browns defense really hurts as well.

Valleygirls (2-0) vs. Coco's Monkeys (0-2)
As long as Daunte Culpepper stays hot and Coco's Monkey refuse to reapair their defieicnt defense this isn't even a matchup. Too bad. Except at quarterback the Monkey actually have better players on offense than the Valleygirls.

No Cal Crushers (0-2) vs. Snowballs (1-1)
Who gets burned first? The Snowballs for insisting on playing the absent Pennington or the Crushers playing Staley who is on a bye. Fortunately for the Snowballs they have Protis and Green picking up the slack. Holt and Koren Robinson will help as well but that matchup with Keshawn Johnson and Robinson's teammate Darrell Jackson is much closer. This matchup depends on what Gannon does on Monday night.

Scrawny White Guys(0-2) vs. Chesepeeak Cruisers (1-1)
The White Guys are instantly at a disadvantage without Stephen Davis and Brees is not going to light up the Ravens D. They'd better hope Sahun Alexander has a very big week and Jamal Lewis is somewhat controled by the Chargers D.

Hurricane(1-1) vs. Pinman (0-2)
The Hurricane is in big big trouble with a day-to-day Jeff Garcia, an underperforming Dolphins defense and three blank spots on the roster. Who's there to step up? Alge Crumpler? Anything from Troy Brown and Randy Moss will seal the deal.

Honestly, Cinncy might be a better pickup considering your situation. They cotained the Raiders fairly well last week. I'd keep an eye on them and if they have a decent game this week I would probably take them over the Bears....

I picked up Minnesota 5 minutes before game time last week, and they've done well sofar... They're playing Detroit *cough*- but I'll keep a eye on Marvin Lewis- the dude is a mastermind

Can't do much about Urlacker. I'd like to keep him, and my bench spots are used up on vital positions I'm going to need if there's a bye. Again, it probably will come down to what Maddox & Holmes do for me.

I think this year's Fantasy Football should be ranked using QP's. Winner's points + 3 * Loser's points.

Week 3 Results

Cooney Quest (0-2) d. R.I. Electrons (2-0)
99-84
Believe me, the commisioner is kicking himself for not putting in Denver. That would've covered the difference right there. And a great day for Sapp and his Tampa bretheren only made things worse for the Electrons. Maddox and Holmes did rack up points, but it wasn't enough.

Koko's X-Cats(2-0) d. Your Team Name (2-0)
82-48
Pretty much every bad day for every player happened this week to YTN (it's Murphy's fault!). His offense scored 15 all together (doesn't help that Bledsoe hadd a terrible night on Sunday. :( ). His defense was better, but no where near a match for the Cat's QB and receivers, who outscored YTN's total by 1.

Dunedain(1-1) d. -To Be Determined- (1-1)
106-91
A very close game. TBD had it with Brad Johnson, Ricky Williams, and Buffalo pulling a combined 56. But Dunedain had 5 players in double digits, and an all-around effort to edge out TBD.

CB234 (1-1) d. 29 Patriots (1-1)
98-84
Another all around even match had the Pats receivers scoring 5. But CB's did much worse (a 5 and a -4, for a total 1). The rest of the matchup was extremely even, with prettymuch no difference between the teams. Well, except for Mike Vanderjagt. He scored 12 for CB, as opposed to Brown's 2. And that made the game. Who say's kickers don't make a difference?

Philly Cheesesteaks (2-0) d. Bane (1-1)
109-55
Bane had a RB with 17, and Cleveland with 10. That's about it. Over in Philly though, Peyton Manning pulled in 33, Andre Johnson took 22 (making up for his partner's -2), and Minnesota scored 15. Everyone on the Cheesesteaks contributed at least a point (minus the afforementioned WR), taking a dominant victory.

Valleygirls (2-0) d. Coco's Monkeys (0-2)
101-66
"As long as Daunte Culpepper stays hot and Coco's Monkey refuse to reapair their defieicnt defense this isn't even a matchup. Too bad. Except at quarterback the Monkey actually have better players on offense than the Valleygirls." Hey, Ed saved me a lot of time on this one. :D

Nor Cal Crushers (0-2) d. Snowballs (1-1)
76-55
Everyone not on a bye or injured contributed to their teams. Both sides had solid coalitions going on with (other than QB) Nor Cal taking defense, and the Snowballs taking offense. Obviously Pennington put up a 0 for the Snowballs, and actually it came down to Rich Gannon's on Monday. While a 16 isn't that great for a QB, it was enough to boost the Crushers to their first win.

Chesapeake Cruisers (1-1) d. Scrawny White Guys(0-2)
117-65
I don't think the White Guys showed up this week (is it just me, or did what I just say not sound right? ). Other than Drew Brees putting up a 22, half the defense just sat around twittleing their thumbs. That, and no one else cleared single digits. The Cruisers, on the other hand, had 7 players in double digits, including a stellar 36 from Jake Plummer. Since we're all FIRSTers here, I think we can do the math on this. The Cruisers 117 (high score of the week) is enough to beat just about anyone.

Hurricane(1-1) d. Pinman (0-2)
94-72
The Hurricane is not in big big trouble with a day-to-day Jeff Garcia, an underperforming Dolphins defense and three blank spots on the roster(another moment made a little easier by Ed :p ). Jeff Garcia had 21, Miami had 19, and only one player was off this week. Pinman had good scores by Vinateri and New England, but an underperforming QB and a lack of anything else clearing single digits prettymuch gave this game to The Hurricanes.
