3rd Joystick- Counselor

Hey guys, I am a counselor at the FIRST EDU camp. One of the teams wants to use a 3rd Joystick.

Does anyone have code that I can borrow.

Thanks! :D

What do you want it to do?

What do you want the 3rd joystick to do? It is easy enough to write some code for you but I don't know what you want done.

Matt... I think your going to need a little bit more information.
Lots of the mentors on these forums (including Joe) would be willing to help, if you could just clarify what exactly you need.

You can't expect to come in here say "I need help building a robot" and have someone send you plans for exactly what you need.

Good Luck,
John

PS - I'm not a software guy, and couldn't help you out if I tried.

Alright here is how it works... or is suppose to

We have a basic 4 wheel cart.... each wheel is independent.

We are using 2 joysticks (1 for each side)

On the cart we have a arm, we want it to be controlled by a 3rd joystick so we can vary the speed at which the arm moves.

Is it possible to plug a joystick into 2 or 4 to make it work?

Thanks,
Matt

What INS to What OUTS

Give me a simple table:

For example

p2_y => PWM2

p2_x => PWM4

I always laugh when I see people ask for software help because the way it's done is analogous to me asking for someone to "design me an arm for my robot."

We need details. What does each axis of the stick do? And more specifically as Joe said, what output should each input map to?
