I just got the mental image of a bunch of robots playing Spin The Bottle. I must be seriously disturbed.

Im picturing something more like, on your first date you goto a pizza parlor

and 2 seconds after you walk in the door, your date runs into a stack of pizza boxes, knocking them all over the place

then turns 90° and runs into a plexiglass wall at 20mph

and falls over

and doesnt get up for 2 minutes!

while this is happening you run up the nearest flight of stairs, and stand on the landing, and if anyone else trys to use the stairs you knock them down.

a match made in heaven.

I would like to nominate my friends Jeffrey Tang and Yusuke Osada to this robotics romance program.

I must admit they're quite pathetic though. They can't build a robot, can't do any PR/Fundraising, can't program, knows a minimal amount of science and math, and can't speak English with coherent sentences.

However, I full-heartedly hope that they find dates here.

heh, tell me about it. i've determined we are sorta are own little world. no one but a FIRST guy is willing to listen and discuss hours of robotics competition, the coolness of tools, have a great time inspecting the robot and argue the advantages of types of wheels. so yeah, good times in FIRST. :D

I just wanted to let those out there know that Julie has discontinued the Robotics Romance service for reasons unknown, around 2 years ago to be exact. She encourages all types of robotics people to continue to mingle/mix regardless. Have fun!
