Sleeping problems and neck issues

I'm aware this is very off-topic, but this is the off-topic forum. So eh.

For several months now, I have been waking up with a stiff neck that was curable by cracking it and a hot shower. Recently, however, the stiffness refuses to go away, and it is now causing me to lose sleep and get headaches. My sleeping position probably isn't that great. I sleep half on my side and half on my stomach and I normally have one arm underneath the pillow. Does anyone know any better sleeping positions that offer neck support, better pillows, or stiff neck rememdies?

Thanks.

I had that problem - just went to a softer pillow and that all went away! :D

I got "stiffness of the neck" once.. it went away when I made the pillow softer (but slightly thinner), because it turned out that my neck was being raised too high by the pillow.

Problem solved. I have mono (in fact, when he looked at my blood, the doctor said I had the highest count of some sort of bloodcell hes ever seen in a person). It's been keeping me up all night with a headache and the like, which I had attributed to the stiff neck (which is from not getting sleep). Though this doesnt actually SOLVE the problem.

It's kind of like: "Hey there. Hmm... You have mono. Not much we can do about it. Come back every week so we can see if you've managed to rupture your spleen. Bye."

Exciting.

Man, that sucks :( ... I've never had mono so I don't know of any remedies for sleep loss or anything, but i hope all turns out well and you get better soon :)

Same here, never had Mono.... So ummm cant really help you.

As Mr. Bueller Said

"ah and yes, wrap some warm wet towels around your head"

Mono sucked.....
I got it last fall and I still don't kno who gave it to me...
But all u can do is sleep and don't push it. And don't get to far behind in school. It is rather odd but I got my best grades when I had mono... and to think I only went to one class....and it cured my Insomnia too :p
But hey look on the bright side, once it's over you'll never get it again.
