Materials
 
Can we use:

PVC piping 3"
Cardboard tubing that is sent on a roll from Small Parts Inc.
Velcro to secure the robot to the floor (we drag it behind us as we move)
String netting (Like on the sides of soccer goals)

I'm assuming you mean the cardboard box that the axles came in. That is packing material and may not be used

This would be damaging to the playing field and I believe is specifically stated against in the rules. (someone verify please)

This could pose an entanglement hazard so I would use caution.

As for the pvc i'm tempted to say you can but i'm not positive so i'd check with someone else.

We wanted to do that last year for something and it wasn't stated taht we couldn't in the rules. So we contacted FIRST and they said that there is a high chance you could snag carpet and thus, damage the playing field... so... yea.
