Okay I understand what you mean. But I still stand by my point that upgrading from version 5 to version 6 isn't worthwhile. Although buying 3dsmax 6 (not upgrading) is.

The thing is if they release a software like v.6 alot of the users who have been using prior versions aren't very happy because they don't get a very good upgrade, and if they wait until the next release they have to buy the full version!

yeah i see what you mean about fur ... but can u blame me for wanting it :D ? also they could just buy licences from Digimation

And also what is up with them saying they'll integrate the DEEP paint engine (from the awesome deep paint 3d prog) in to max then last minute they bail and say it didn't work out!

btw the new Logo rocks !

here is what max users say about max 6:
(nobody has posted for a while tho)

If they say it didn't work out... that's probably just what happened. I know I wouldn't want something that didn't work very well sooner than something that worked great later. They will probably wait for the next release to get the bugs worked out of it... unless they just scraped it all together...

Anyways, have some patience :)

By "it didn't work out" they mean the deal didn't work out(with Right Hemisphere the creator of Deep paint 3d as well as many other tools) not technical bugs or implementations . Deep paint is the coolest software I have used ! it makes texture mapping easy you paint straight on to the 3d model!

Ahh okay, sorry for the misunderstanding. It sounds cool from what you've been saying... maybe someday I'll find a copy of it :)

How exactly do you know that that is what they ment?

That isn't ment for sarcasm, that's ment for an actual question.
