If we use non-slip matting from small parts, and we don't want it to be "sticky" are we able to "coat the material in say sawdust or something similiar?

Please respond if you know the answer.

Well, I guess if the sawdust was made out of wood allowed on the additional hardware list, then perhaps it could be allowed. But it could also be very messy, something FIRST does not like (you can't leave sawdust all over the place, and the sawdust can't pose a risk of catching on fire either.)

Don't take my word for it though.

... Personally I wouldn't... too much for FIRST to not like: making/leaving a mess etc, and it's not on the ADHW list.

As long as whatever sawdust or material you are putting on will leave the robot and stay on the playing field, it is illegal to put them on. FIRST is trying to have as clean of a playing field as possible.

As for nuts and bolts that came off during a match because of all the pushing and pulling... Well, start using lock nuts or lock washers.

I think that would fall under the excessive lubricants rule.
BTW, congratulations on having too much traction.

Or have really good eyes so when the match is over, you can pick the nuts and bolts up quickly :D.
