Online Machine Shop! (http://www.emachineshop.com/)
I don't know if anyone has mentioned this here, but I was just turned on to a great website.
http://www.emachineshop.com/ Check it out.....download a simple CAD tool, design a part, and upload for quote and fabrication. This is the kind of simple stuff an Electrical guy like me needs. (for those simple parts I might want to make!) BTW: For you electrical guys, you might also want to look at www.pcb123.com for making printed circuit boards. Download schematic and layout tools FREE. (including an autorouter FREE) Have fun, -Quentin |
Actually, I just happened to order about 24 circuit cards from PCB123 for work a couple weeks ago. We didn't have any problems with them except for the fact that they were a bit slower than they advertise (it's more that you have to read very carefully about what they advertise to be shipped the next day). I just used the PCB layout tool and ignored the auto routing as I already had a schematic in Visio.

emachineshop's CAD software I think is absolutely horrible. Does anyone agree?

Re: Online Machine Shop! (http://www.emachineshop.com/)
yes... you can import auto cad files which is the only way i would even bother with that service....has anyone experienced how their pricing is?

Re: Online Machine Shop! (http://www.emachineshop.com/)
another company that offers PCB manufacturing online is www.pad2pad.com. I haven't compared it to pcb123, but it looks to be pretty good pricing. The software does not have an auto-route feature which I was expecting...

I seem to remeber emachine shop's prices being fairly expensive.
