Day 1...
 

August 26th was my first day of school... It was funny to see all the confused freshmen and it was fun confusing them... haha... But I had a great day... Nice to see all the old faces and to see some of the new ones... I'm a junior now and only have two more years left at the High School... So I guess my question is how was your first day of school???

That's not fair!!!!!!!!
My first day of school was August 11!!! But i had to go back on July 28th for band camp, cuz it always starts 2 weeks before school starts. But today was day 13 of school. And on friday we are having our first football game against wellington, and also a pep-rally. The marching band gets to play our first 2 pieces, and march them for half-time. and then we have, i think, a week to learn about 27 or so more sets so we can know our last two pieces and play them for our next football game the next friday. Anyway, i'll stop wasting your time (cuz i know no one cares!) and i'll give you all a chance to talk..... :D

I'll be able to answer that question in a month minus two days. Oh my it's so far away and I actually want to go back.

I started classes on Monday. Well, I started showing up for classes that I'm not actually enrolled in. Don't you just love it when the Admissions Department doesn't know you exist until the day before class instruction starts? I know I do... *grumble*

The first day has always been one of the worst days for me. All day, the teachers either administer a test or go over the syllabus. It's always boring, and this year was no exception. Maybe it'd be more exciting if I didn't see all my friends during the summer too.

... my first day is tomorow ... and thats not a good thing but then after reading these posts I glad my first day wasn't weeks ago.... that would of just been soooooooooooooo horrribbbllleeee ... having have to go to school when its still soooo warm out and sit there in those rooms being bored out of my mind... wee. i'm sure glad it hasnt began yet ...

Today was my third day of school, and maybe it's just because I'm a senior, but school rocks this year!!! Don't worry, in a couple of weeks I'll be dreadfully hating it by a week or two!

ARE YOU SERIOUS?! Jeeze... I thought I went back early going back on the 26th of August... I mean when do you get out of school? Is it one of those all year schools? Thats stupid cause like every 3 weeks you get 2 off... So you learn something go on vacation and forget it... That's pretty stupid but then you have the other kid that doesn't go back for another month... When do you get out? Like in July or something... Wow I didn't realize people went back at so many different times...

actually, it's not that bad. the first week went by sooo slowly. the second went too fast, and today i keep thinking it's friday. but we get out may 27th this year. last year it was may 30, i think!

First day of school was ok. Learning my way around campus. I've seen several familiar FIRSTer's but haven't taken the time to talk to them. Lectures are kind of boring right now. I hope they will get better, but probably not.

My first day of college was GREAT!. Only one class, and it happened to be at 3:30pm, so i treated myself to sleeping in (by my standards). Then I walked around a lot and realized that there really are a ton of people here at Purdue.

I started August 7th. It wasn't that bad.
It isn't too bad this year, especially since I have a math-science A day, followed by a humanities B day.

I've been to two schools in Cleveland and two here in Ithaca... both places had school start AFTER labor day. Both ended the 3rd week of June, but in Cleveland and especially Ithaca, that's just a little after when the weather actually becomes enjoyable.

School starts here for me on the 4th (Junior also). So, it's exactly 1 week away :0 Luckily, I organized a baseball/softball game today with ~20 friends and that should be a good way to close out summer.

And I agree with whoever said the first day is horrible - I can't stand filling out the stupid info cards for the teachers and admin, along with listening to info we've heard every year before this... After freshmen year, this should NOT be done as it's a pain and waste of time.

Eh, off to enjoy some chores and then baseball/softball for 4 hours!

ok school starts in a week for me on Thursday September 4th. This will be my senior year, it seems like on yesturday i was a freshman, but our school always starts the Thursday after Labor day. Thats so the freshman and new transfers can find their way around the school/campus and the teachers dont hand out late slips/referrals until after the first 2 days. But i have something to look forward to on Saturday September 6th... River Rage 7 and the F.I.R.S.T. "Yard Sale"! I cant wait till i get to go there now.

Mon & Wed I have 1 class a day

Thur and Friday i have 2 classes

Tuesday I have 3 classes...

its spread out over 5 days, but its pretty relaxed

My first day was the 27th, and the school is boiling. It is fun to terrorize the freshmen, especially the ones who think that other people are nice. Robotics was actually made a class this year, but the office messed up my schedule, so I'll have to shift it around to take robotics. The three AP classes I'm taking this year aren't that bad, the teachers are awesome. The team is in a big recruitment drive to catch us some freshmen, as we only have 11 members. School is great....kinda....umm..yeah.

I'm already doing that...

I start school next wednesday, I think it is the 3rd of Sept. Can't wait, summer gets boring towards the end.

I start school Wednesday September 3rd. Should be interesting. I transfered to another school, and it's my junior year, and this place is WAY bigger than my old school (old school = 500 students, new school = 2101 students). So, yeah, I'm gonna get so lost... o well.:confused:

At least I get to be on a bigger team now, and I guess we go to more regionals.

Fun, fun. I'm living in a state of pure confusion.

Dude, I started August 11th...But anywho...

I love my school so freakin' much. New Tech High...synonymous with Heaven...there's only about 150 students because it's only for Juniors and Seniors. I'm a Junior, but I've already been going there for robotics for the past year...so I know what I'm doing...Yeah, I'm gonna stop right there before I write out some 10,000 word long thing about my school. :p

Been going to school since the 11th....
and it can be summarized in one word
B-O-R-I-N-G
And I thought taking AP courses would keep me awake this year...
guess not :p

First day of class at the University of Michigan was today. Not too bad... yet. I've been here two weeks already; I was kinda ready for band to end and classes to start.

today was my first day at my new school...it was different, my old school had 600 kids from kindergarten all the way up, and this one has like 1200, just in high school...i like it much better this way...didnt really know anyone, but i found all my classes okay...i cant wait until i start getting to know the people there, then it wil be okay.

You guys should see my school it is ridiculous... Last year 300 students graduated and 2 dropped out... The incoming Freshman class is 430!!! My school is way over crowded... They plan to build a new one but you know what when it is done they estimate that it will be at max capacity for students and they already passed... I'll tell you people here are idiots... But I am now on my 6th days of school... It's ok... Glad to be back cause only 2 more years of high school, first is starting next week for us and i get to see everyone...

my first day was on the third...so far its not the school part thats been hard...i guess i just have alot of classes that i like (CAD, photo, cisco, and POE/robotics) it just been the outside stuff....all summer nothing goes wrong .....then as school starts...ecerything goes down hill ...from my mom have posin ivy.and her needing a operation....to almost be crushed by 20ft of cabints falling off the wall in the art room....to my nana falling down at about 3am today..i guess im just alittle sleepy...because its about 5:50am and i need some sleep...but all in all the school part i like...and im really going to have fun this year....

Sept. 3rd was my first day. Sophmore year sux. I got a 3 page essay in biology on the first day of school. Well, that is the only class i don't like so far. I love all of my other teachers. Is anyone else taking a zero period? Im takin World history for zero.

My school is over-crowded also. Another school is being built here to.

I started 2 days before the 4-day weekend. My schedule seems ok. I love my American Lit. class, and my Computer Animation one is also sweet. Math is gonna be a lil' struggle this year I think (blasted). Physical (Integraded) Science is sweet also, we are tracking hurricanes (weeee!). Psychology is fun....very interesting. Health is OK, my teacher is really cool. For my second semester I'm having Government and Law (those are two seperate classes). So I guess I'm taking 3 social studies classes (if you don't count Psych.) this year, and I'm really supposed to take 1 (unless you count each, then it'd be 2 this year).

grades ended on friday, meaning that we get interim reports on tuesday... how fun!!!!

You know what sucks the most about Sophomore year? Nobody can spell sophomore ... =|

Oh man, World History is the most boring class. It won't be too much fun early morning...

Umm.. yeah I retract my previous statement.

Apparently I missed my first day of school which was infact the 3rd of September and not the 8th...

Yeah... starting at a new school, your junior year of high school is such fun. I mean that half sarcastically, and half honestly.

My old school had 500 people. My new school has 2100. I suprisingly haven't gotten lost yet (not including sprinting around the school in the dark this past saturday in search of the janitor...).

The most receptive group of people so far has definetly been my new FIRST team. They're great. Mostly younger than me, but still awesome people. We had set-up for RiverRage this past Friday night, and then competition all day Saturday. So I got to see a lot of my new FIRST friends. It was fun. Especially making a soccer ball size duct tape ball. :D

The best of all my classes is AP Physics. Dudes, I love that class. Where else can you run down the hall with a yardstick, chasing a wind up car, and hitting it. And where else can you jump off chairs. And what class gets to go to Six Flags?!!!!??? Physics rocks!

The worst of my classes is Pre-Calc. It's a non-practical class. Ugh. Hate that type. The only time I'm stranded with out a calculator and I'm doing math is when I'm tipping someone! And that's easy!

But yeah, thats my first week. I'm still trying to figure out school rules. And where to sit at lunch. Being shy is a problem, huh?

The Physics class at my school gets to go to Six Flags as well...They call it "Physics Day" and the students are supposed to figure out physics-y stuff about the rides...but like they ever do... =P

During Nationals this year it was Physics day at Six Flags over Houston.. Bet you didn't know that did you??

Well, anyways, the best part about it was having our advisor get all excited from the formula I pointed out that was written on one of the railings of one of the roller coasters. And then he solved it, in his head mind you, not writing it out and adding to the graffitti!!!
