Baseball for 200, the first baseball game played in Berlin, Germany was played in 1912 with the umpire wearing this.

Cory 12-09-2003 21:49

what is a shirt?

Kevin A 13-09-2003 00:08

What are clothes?

Cory 13-09-2003 00:24

this is a horrible question. Perhaps it should be reworded to this article of clothing, or something more clear?

Brandon Martus 13-09-2003 00:59

What is a smile?
What is a pair of shoes?
What is a pair of socks?
What is a face mask?
What is a baseball hat?

I agree. This seems pretty vauge.

Greg Ross 13-09-2003 01:10

Wild guess: What are Lederhosen?

JonA 13-09-2003 04:26

What is a helmet?
or What are goggles?
or even What are pinstripes?

I don't know if this whole thing can get any more vague...

EddieMcD 13-09-2003 13:36

I think my wording was fine enough. It was a suit of armor. So in actuallity, we don't know if he wore clothes under it at all. ;)

Score one for Eddie.

Mike Schroeder 13-09-2003 13:38

How can you know that he didn't smile once during the whole game?

Score one for Brandon.

If there is one thing I know about Umpires and Germans (me being German at least) I know that they don't smile :p

JonA 13-09-2003 16:20

if he was wearing a suit of armor, then he must have been wearing a helmet!
