Who knows how the motors really work?

So who know how the motors really work and how to make them not work?
This is according to Team 116, so forget what you learned in school.
I will post the answer in a week or so.

Yeah David, I think you're right! Sometimes when we run the motors for too long, they overheat and pour out smoke. Well, that must be the magic smoke that makes them work! Because after that happens, they never work again. :D

we've tried putting tape around the motors to try and seal in the smoke.

Hey smokescreen we would really like to know if the tape works. It would be greatly appreciated if you could also post a "How to" guide on taping it the proper way.

Thanks

Wrong. The answer is: magic smoke.
