Re: Corporate Sponsorship... a piece of cake
I know this link is a little old but we could use your help. We are trying to find out if our team's manual has been effective or not. We are making a report to our school district and sponsors and feedback on the success of the manual would be helpful. If anyone has had success using the ideas from the manual would you please post the success stories here or e-mail me so we can put them in our report. My e-mail is shardina@team60.com
Thanks for the feed back. Shawn Team 60 |

Hey, I was wondering if you still have copies... If so, Team 752 will love to have a copy! I think it's awesome that you're willing to share, and seeing as how my team is not doing so good with figuring out how to get sponsors, I'm def. interested! Again, thank you. :)

I'm from Team 980. I don't know you personally, but I know Team 60 are our good Buds! I would like to have your marketing manual, as I'm working on getting corporate sponsorship for our team. I've put out a number of proposals in a "cold-call" sort of way, but am wondering how much a personal contact in the company has to do with success. In other words, did you guys know someone personally in the company who helped you get the Ford sponsorship of last year or the year before, or any other large corporate sponsorship you've had in the past? What is the largest amount you've received in one year from one sponsor? Did you ever get a major corporate sponsor from a cold-call kind of approach, where you didn't know anyone and you just sent a proposal out of the blue? I'd also like to hear from other teams who've gotten major corporate sponsorship. Can you give me some answers to my questions above and any other information about your successful actions in getting your major (about 15K or more) sponsor? In the meantime, Mandy, I would really appreciate your materials. Possibly you already gave a manual to Doug Hogg or Gary Hedge, but I would appreciate my own copy as I'm working on sending proposals daily and I'd like to see what you've done as soon as possible. Let me know if you'd like some reimbursement for mailing cost. Send to: Michele Kirkland Shuttleworth Academy 1334 L. Ron Hubbard Way Los Angeles, CA 90029 Thanks so much! Hope you guys will come to the Chatsworth Scrimmage! Best, Michele |

I'm new to Chief Delphi and I didn't read the entire thread before sending you an e-mail moments ago, asking for a copy of your manual. I then noticed the date and also saw that you'd run out and that it was on your website... yada, yada, yada. So I've just downloaded it from your website. Thank you. I'm still interested in hearing from you and anyone else: 1) What role prior personal association had to do with successfully gaining a major sponsorship (if it did)? 2) What has been the largest sponsorship in one year from one sponsor? 3) Any other successful actions in procuring major sponsorship. (When I say "major", I'm thinking about 15K or more). Thanks again for the manual. Michele |
Houston, we have a problem!!!
We are students from Liberato Team #1603 (Brazil), a public institution that is participating of First Robotics Competition.
Despite of difficulties with the conclusion of the project, we did it! Our Robot is ready rock. It was very hard to construct the robot, inspite of, we had just one teacher helping us, and the FIRST kit of parts came 3 weeks later. Last week, we come across a huge problem: we have no resources to travel to U.S.. It puts all our knowledge and hard work in slite edge. We have enough money to send just one single student! If we keep going this way, we will not participate of the FIRST spirit, taking our hands off the oportunity to trade knowledge and experience with other team members. Every help is usefull. greetings Liberato Team #1603 Koji Suzuki Yuri Reichert E-mail: first@liberato.com.br |
