Programming Flyers?

I just started a new team and I know absolutely nothing about programming and I'm trying to make flyers to put up around the college to find someone who does know something but I'm not sure what to put on them.

Like I think I read somewhere that the Edubots use C. Do the FIRST bots use that too. Or can they use multiple programs

And is there anything other info I should put on there (like about what a person would need to know (about programming) to be helpful to a FIRST team)

I guess your 'help wanted' poster would say something like

Wanted:

College student to be a part of local FIRST robotics team.
Must be able to write and debug C programs.
Knowledge of MicroChip assembly code a plus.

Maybe include something about volenteering...?

It's quite simple ask for a computer science student. Even a second semester freshman should be able to do the basics needed for the new controller.

Yes, the FIRST controller is in C as well this year. Maybe you would also want to put something about tiemframe and level of committment. A short description of FIRST might help for interest.

W00T! Go you for starting another team. In addition to what everyone else said, I would also suggest going to some of the CS prof's and asking them to either or both announce the opportunity in class or recommend some students who are doing well in class. I don't know what college you're at, but it may be possible for you to even give a quick presentation to some classes to give them a better idea and hook them.

Good luck this year!
