Science Channel 2003 FIRST Video

Did anyone record the Science Channel video of the 2003 season? We have no one on the team that has digital cable. If you have a vhs copy would you be willing to send me a copy for your costs?

Wetzel 11-10-2003 14:38

I would also like a copy of any footage of the 2004 game.

I have no tape of the 2003 game.

RogerR 11-10-2003 18:56

the special on the 2003 season is probably sold by discovery channel, as are most of their shows.

Do you mean the Discovery Channel video would do "enuf" for you, or you still want any video?

Sorry...I don't think Dean's released that yet. :)

If you're looking for ANY footage of the 2003 game, go to the Soap 108 website. They've got a lot of digitized video from the 2003 game posted.

generalbrando 12-10-2003 20:09

I'd pay for shipping and a video too if someone has it. But if the science channel does sell it, does anyone have a link? I can't find it! GRRRRR!

Dan 550 12-10-2003 20:20

I think there's a lot of us here that would kill for any real info about the '04 game.

Yan Wang 12-10-2003 20:47

First, I'm assuming you mean the 2003 video, not 2004.

I do have the tape. Kinda cool that when the narrator said, 'stacking' while describing the game, it showed our robot in Chesapeake, stacking.

I will see if I can have the tape digitized at school into avi or mpeg format, and then upload it. Problem is, where?

pNavy will host nearly anything and everything, free. And there's no mB limit.

Yan Wang 12-10-2003 21:25

Er, Photo Navy hosts -> Photos. And er, you could definitely fit a lot of good quality photos in 400-500mb of space. :)

Dan 550 12-10-2003 21:39

They host a whole bunch of stuff, including mpeg's.

ahh.. if you want to put up a large vid file dealing with first, ya can let me know.

FSN has a crap load of space/bandwidth & could shell a bit of it out to hosting first things of the such.

kristen 17-10-2003 21:47

*cough* YAN *COUGH* :)

generalbrando 17-10-2003 21:50

Ditto. Someone please make it digital for us non-satelite users!

Patrick Wang 17-10-2003 23:24

I'm supposed to be talking in it so people tell me but i have never seen it.

Mike371 18-10-2003 11:18

I have a copy of the tape, however, I don't think it truly represents first.

Ed Crammond 18-10-2003 19:56

cool did it have us trying to explain why we broke the pink princesses robot? hmm maybe i shouldnt mention that

well too late, but that what happens if you post on chiefdelphi after a night drinking...

Yan Wang 20-10-2003 12:08

I HAVE THE DIGITIZED VIDEO NOW

It is 592mb and thus, I will need a server with that much space and a lot of bandwidth. PM me or e-mail me if you have the space/bandwidth. And no, private servers managed on one's own ISP are not ok.

generalbrando 20-10-2003 12:13

I don't' have anything at the moment, but nothing will stop me from finding the space....

Ryan Albright 20-10-2003 16:42

my counter-strike clans (run by me) website has alot of bandwidth so you can send it to me if you want

Yan Wang 20-10-2003 18:30

PM/e-mail me an ftp account/pword to upload to.

Jack 21-10-2003 18:17

i pm'ed monsieurcoffee with an account of the FSN server.

SO.. as soon as he's able to upload it, it'll be there. :)

jack

generalbrando 21-10-2003 21:35

**leans forward in suspense**

Can't wait!

Yan Wang 21-10-2003 22:48

Started uploading...

Jack said he allocated 20gb of bandwidth so er, if you you can send it to people on your team, do that rather than having all team members dl from fsn.

Yan Wang 22-10-2003 20:01

THE DOCUMENTARY HAS BEEN DIGITIZED AND UPLOADED: http://video.firstsn.org/firstdocumentary.mpg

606.4mb

generalbrando 22-10-2003 20:20

Thank you guys so much! I just started the download - this will give my something to do instead of homework tonight!
