I think Kenny hosts the site on his own server, if im not mistaken. Send a not to the CD username soap108 and he can tell you the scoop...

we're mad too!

sorry folks. been real busy to post.

our host company has vanished! poof! no notice, no warning, nothing! All their accounts are gone, all contact info is "busy", "disconnected", or ortherwise non-existant.

we'll be moving the domain to the sigmacat.com server soon as a temporary solution. good thing we always back up our stuff.

if a specific movie or something is needed in the mean time, we could always ftp it to your server.

Ouch...that isn't good...Sorry to hear about losing your webspace...At least it's not during competitions...Just imagine how bad that would be. FIRST-pandemonium

Heh, yeah. sigmacat.com is also, last time I checked, hosted over a DSL line off a home server, so have some patience when it comes up...and thank Kenny and the rest of the SOAP guys for it. They do a a great job making sure that everyone has access to it and the sacrifices they make are insane sometimes.

Hey KA! If I'm wrong go ahead and lemme know! I'll retract this post. Can't wait to start working again man!

that really sucks! that website has been so helpfull for me! i love those guys. i hope it comes up again soon!!!!!!

I am reviving this thread because when I was just on Soap's website, and I didn't see any videos.

If you get any up, do you think it would be OK to use some in our animation?

Typically what they have done in the past is that after a season, they take all the videos down and then wait and upload the new ones as the events pass by. At one time they had some kind of offer that they can send you a DVD of the matches, but again im not on 108 so I dont know any more details.

Question to 108, are you still offering the DVD of matches?

Re: whats up with soap 108s website?!

Hi guys. Our current problem is we don't have enough webspace with our new hosting company. We're waiting for response from another FIRST team that has offered us unlimited web space for the movies. Once that happens we can restore -some- of the older movies, but never the whole collection.
Once digitized, we will keep the current year movies up until after the summer.

The files are all archived onto a DVD. You can request a copy of any of our DVDs. We have a mixture of the florida, chicago, and great lakes regionals, and nationals from 2000 - 2003.
