traction

what kinds of things are you alloud to use for increased traction?

Traction: Official answer

Number 1 rule that WILL be enforced:

Tires/wheels may NOT harm or damage carpet surface.

If you design any traction system that can damage the carpet the inspectors will test and possible not allow the robot to pass inspection.

They will be looking for sharp edges, hard surfaces and snag points that can damage the surface.

You may want to ask specifics before you get to the event and not be allowed to compete.

Last week (Holly)all robots had appropriate wheels and traction devices.
