My six-year-old daughter is pretty good at riding one. Now, she wants one for Christmas... darn technology. :)

I believe that that is very similar to the approach taken by Team 71. They provide information and training, but do let the rider get a good 20 minutes or so on the Segway. Reading is your friend, Sara. :D

Segway Fundraiser

Team 47 is finishing up on the fundraiser where the main prize is a Segway.

Tickets are still for sale at $5.00 each - Go back to the portal for directions.

Here are a few facts:
The Segway is not $4500.00 it is $5500.11 with shipping and extras.

To demo it in public you need a Liability Insurance Policy.

A liability policy is also required to give rides in most states.

The winner of the Segway must claim the winning on their Federal Income Tax form.

Most states require a license to sell raffle tickets for prizes in excess of $100.00.

Most states will not allow persons younger than 18yrs of age to participate in raffles.

I will be posting a white paper on our Segway raffle at its conclusion.

AntmanIV 04-11-2003 11:05

Hey, those pretzels can be hazardous, especially those ones with that have been broken in the package and have the pointed ends.lol. In any case, I guess the president did not need to get the training from the Segway trainers, maybe the FBI thought of it as a security threat. All things considered... It was good advertisement for the Segway, even if it did throw off the president of the United States of America.

Sorry for kind of jumping of the toipic, I could not help myself.
