The leader has Jason Morrella's contact info, and was going to contact him about getting a journalist's benefits, and she didn't feel the need for me to arrange things for her. She hasn't mentioned it to me since, and they missed last night (when they said they'd be here). I'll ask them about it next time I see them. Thanks!

Our rookies get on our team email during build season. In addition our mentors are on call at the shop, on cell, and at home during build season. We don't have to be your mentor to have all that happen for you WHEN you get a team going. Feel free to lean on us as part of your support team.

We had a student videographer at last year's Phoenix competition. Can you believe we only NOW got a copy of his high school project. It's about our team, but it has some views of other things at the competition and you may want to take a look.

***WARNING*** 88mb quicktime movie, may take 10-20 min to download.link

Ok so all the CD people definately have to hang out sometime at the competition. Maybe we could meet at the team party or something. I have no idea what is around there and I don't remember the venue that well so does anyone else have any suggestions?

Also, who is submitting their chaiman's award there? I was just wondering which teams were.

(Sorry I edited because I put some info in that was not good soory!)

[quote=sanddrag]Before the event happens, we (CD users attending) will have to work out something whacky we will wear so we can recognize each other.

Sandrag:

Any more thoughts about "something whacky"?

Eerrrrm, I'm not sure what exactly that means. Must be a beach thing. I was thinking more along the lines of an orange hat with my CD username on it. But I don't know if I'll ever get around to that.

I have an SME leash and card that is covered in buttons. I guess you could call it whacky because I am the only one I have seen all of last year and this year who has one and wears it. Those SME cards must be worth at least a couple hundred on the street these days. Oh, and the CRyptonite 624 button on it. There are less than a dozen known to exist in California, one of those would go for a couple G's easy. OH, and the 2001 Clark Kent button. I have the only one known to be in existence currently. That button can not even have a price put on it. There have been reports of one other Clark Kent button spotted but this has not been confirmed. And who can forget the yellow Viper button of 2002. It is a legend. Most have never even seen it. A small item but very very high value (in the high hundreds).

Gee, look at what I am saying. I hope I don't get jumped for my neck leash, SME card and buttons. :D

But seriously, though, I have been offered a whole mess of trade items for those Clark Kent and yellow Viper button. No joke.

This year, we had misprint run of PURPLE Cirucuit Breakers 2004 buttons. There were only 7 of them made! If you get your hands on one of those, consider yourself a very lucky person.

Oh gosh, I've gotten off topic again haven't I. I'll make up for it, don't you worry.
