Crate size for 2004

Does anybody remember what the max dimensions for the crate were when FedEx donated shipping? Were building a new crate this year and thought that it would be a good idea to build to these specs as we like free shipping:D

One person on our team thought it was something like 4x4x5 but not sure.

You can get to all the specifics in the administrative section of last year's manual which is still available online on FIRST's site. I don't remember off hand, but I know that's too short.

It was 6" shorter than what our old crate was :cO (we had to cut our crate down to size)

I would wait till the new rules come out this year - it might change again

or you might have a small machine this year and decide to build a small crate to match?

we bult a big crate witch doubbled as our cart that fit the dimentons< but it weighe over 400 Pounds and we had to take some toold out to meet the 400LB limit

yea the 6" shorter thing is what i was looking for.. however fedex donated shipping last year and the crate was allowed to be 5'10" high and 4x4 on the bottom.. so thats what were going with,

the cart thing is a kinda good idea.. but our cart as is weighs about 250lb.. hehe if youve never seen it its pretty nice.. 550lb capacity hydrolic lift, 5' bed, dual rear axel :yikes:

just build a robot that transforms into its own crate

problem solved! [gee, that was easy! :v) ]
