All-Girls Teams

I was wondering how many teams out there are all-girls teams? I was on S.W.A.T. 771 last year and that was an all girls team from Oakville, Ontario ... so i was wondering what other teams has no guys on it??

and while were at it .. are there any all-boys teams ?? i havent heard of any teams like this but I think that it would be interesting to know ...

296 is an all-guy team from an all-guy school in Montreal, but I'm guessing this is more common than all-girl teams.

Re: All-Girls Teams

There are at least three all-girl teams in the Philadelphia area that I know of:
1. Team #433 - The Firebirds - Mt. St. Joseph's Academy -
03 Philadelphia Xerox Creativity Award Winner, 03 Championship Division Quarter Finalists, 03 Ramp Riot Champion
2. Team #709 - Agnes Irwin School (don't know awards off-hand)
3. Team#??? - Girls High - Philadelphia (don't know awards off-hand)

Re: All-Girls Teams

There was an all-girl team (private girls school) at SVR last year, and one of their mentors and I inspected there, but I can not for the life of me remember the team name/number.
{edit}
The team is from St Francis High School, 692.
The FemBots

From what I have seen, I think all-girl teams are more common then all-boy teams. Well, teams from uni-sex schools, there are more from all-girl schools then all-boy schools. I know my team has a fair mix of male-females.

There is another NYC school trying to form an all-girl team for 2005.

Re: All-Girls Teams

Regarding the Canadian Regional (which has some 80 teams this year), a team from St. Clements School (1291) is also on the list. I believe we have two all boys (610, 1049), and two all girls teams (771, 1291) competing there this year however this is diffucult to confirm. I am unsure as to how Emery C.I. is going to enter; there was talk about entrance with a girls' team and a boys' team however I think that idea was scrapped. Correct me of course if I'm wrong.

we have bunch of guys on our team.. even though its a mix team (girls and boys)... i think there were 2 girls on the team last year... and now this year i think there are about 10 girls on the team which is pretty amazing....

Team 460, one of the winners of the Arizona regional is an all girls team.
Team 362, the muses are also an all girls team

Yeah.... I remember them..

The news crew(s) who kept following them around and just ignored all the other teams were really irritating.
They actually asked one of the girls on my team whether or not they were on the all girls team, and when she said "No." they just said "Oh..." and shrugged her off and kept walking. That is very rude don't you think?

I my self is on an All boys team-1219, From Emery C I, tho our school also has an all girls team 1309.
We were allowed to split in 2 teams because of our huge team. this year we have 150 students(combined). So it will be a great year.
