I believe this would be in the spirit of the electrical rules and therefore legal. There has been a light change in the rules this year that makes me think it would not be allowed. First needs to clarify.

My post never suggested connecting to the brake jumper. Read a little more closely. We did, however get permission to control the braking jumper last year with a relay controlled in torn by a "spike" relay.
