Dear FIRST and FIRST Teams,

My name is Jonathan Elrod. I am apart of Team 316 the LuNaTeCs. Upon the request of a mentor, Bill Robinson, I have been asked to send letters or e-mails to teams attending the Chesapeake and Philadelphia Regionals. We are asking teams to donate money to our men and women overseas. But why not open it to FIRST.

We are asking for your support for the families of American Soldiers who have sacrificed their lives for our freedom. We are aware of the financial challenges of competing in FIRST events. We are asking your team to collect a small contribution during this upcoming Kickoff Weekend to donate to the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund. Just a dollar or two for each team member will go a long way. We ask you to send your contributions directly to Intrepid. Team 316 wishes to honor all teams donating a minimum $25 by recognizing your team number in our FIRST pits at the Chesapeake and Philadelphia Regionals and Nationals. In order for your team to be recognized, please send an e-mail to our team coordinator Pam Halter, halterpatb@comcast.net ,stating you collected and contributed at least $25.
