I understand the seeding but i'm not sure of the whay the matches will be run. Like a best two out of three or something like that.

Re: Elimination Rounds

seeing how the game is set up its 2 vs 2

7.4.4 A Maximum of 4 matches will be played; if after 4 matches , neither alliance has 2 wins the alliance with the highest score in this round advances.

possible best 3 out 4 i would think its either 2 out of 3 or 3 out of 4 maybe someone else can clarify. thats all i found in the book was 4 matches :( they said leniant on the rules to lighten the book yet i think they forgot some info as well

Re: Elimination Rounds

Section 7.4.4 states that it is first team to get 2 wins advances!

They would play a 4th match only if the 3rd match is a tie. Then if the 4th match is also a tie, they use the highest match score from any of the 4 matches as the tie breaker. Not sure what they do it that is also a tie.

YES! Down with EPs! Best 2 out of 3 is the most exciting way to do it, IMO.

That probably won't happen. If it does, though, I'm thinking there will be a fifth game - what else would FIRST be able to use to fairly break the tie?

More than likely the old "Electronic Coin Toss." As of now, if you are in the same tier as someone, and have the same points as they do in that tier, then to decide who is first between you, the rules say an electronic coin toss will be done. It does seem very, extremely unlikely that such an event will occur (which might just be evidence that it will). But in the past, to settle a long line of tie breakers, FIRST has always had a simple coin toss at the end of their thick, thick book (I remember seeing a match decided by this a few years ago).
