Ball Shoot Space

Its late so I'll try to explain this coherently.....

Is there a lip between the playing field and the outside in the ball shoot? In other words, to pass a ball out, would one have to lift it over?

-Thanks

From the pictures in the manual and the description of the chute in the manual I would have to say no. The balls are capable of rolling right in(and right back out if your not careful). The chute has a 48" wide opening and 16" height opening. The ball corral is 48" x 30" x 16" high.
I've actually used the dimensions given plus I used a ruler on the diagram of the field to approximate dimensions of the "pucks", platform, and other elements to build a model playing field which I just finished this morning. My model is 24" x 48"(1'=1") and this doesn't include the player stations. This will come in handy when our team strategizes.

I don't belive that there is a lip. I would think that it would be a safety violation to feed the ball to a robot though. The intent is to be safe.

Not only that but unless you were to use a bot to pass the balls to your alliance partner there is no point in that becuase the bot cannot score little balls.
