robot sizes

the rules say:
The maximum allowed size of the robot is 30 inches (76.20cm) wide by 36 inches (91.44cm) long by
60 inches (152.40cm) high.
if for example an extending arm or a pneumatic thing would be used, would this include that when fully extended or when its packed away

Re: robot sizes

When your robot starts a match, it must be no bigger than 30"x36"x60". Similarily, when your robot is inspected it must fit in a 30"x36"x60" to make sure the size is legal. As soon as the match starts, it can unfold/expand/whatever as big as you want.
