Rover Navigation 101: Autonomous Rover Navigation

I thought this fit better in the Programming forum rather than the Chit-Chat because of it's relationship to FIRST. Every year it seems like Autonomous Mode in FIRST becomes more and more important. This video, about the autonomous rover navigation system, is very similar to FIRST because in autonomous mode we are both trying to reach a goal. In FIRST case it's a ball or a goal and in NASA's it's a rock. This video "Rover Navigation 101: Autonomous Rover Navigation" has a good overview of NASA's autonomous control.
