.max 2004 FRC field, download and use!

Hey CD!

Let me begin by thanking the people who made the field for download this year. I used little pieces of it, and remodeled most of it, with a complete border too. Much fewer polygons, and a vailiable in .max format.

please, use it!

Download it at : http://www.trucktown68.com/animation...IRST_field.zip

file is [1120 kb]

Let me know what you think.

That's nice Alex, it's really nice. One of the most realistic I've seen from a high school animator! Great job!

And I had just got the other one into 3DS Max too! :p

This looks better though, so I'll check it out, nice job.

Hey, looks good alex, but your poles arn't quite touching on the ball release mechanism. Might wanna re-do that.

Did you model it in exact dimensions?

Is there a way you can throw it in something other than .max for those of us working with other utilities?

.3ds, .obj, etc...

Is anyone else having trouble with moving things as individual objects?? all the balls in the ball thing above the player station move as one piece for me... were they linked or something??

Did you try to un-group them? (Group -> UnGroup)

If they're not grouped then turn them into an editable mesh and then take each ball and make it into it's own entity.

Thanks, that did the trick :) (group > ungroup)

My friend and teammate Glasses has made a viewer for ms3d (milkshape?) files. It has been very useful for showing the playing field on computers without 3DS. There's a discussion on it here. Check it out and let him know what you think.

I don't suppose it runs on linux? If not, won't really help me much... besides, I'm not interested in viewing it, I want to use the darn thing.

I suppose I'll just have to make my own. Thanks anyways :)
