I would not be a Floridian if I didn't respond to this. It was like 50 degrees in the morning, before the sun came up. It was so cold that I wore jeans and a sweater to school. It is about 80 degrees now.

Oh come on now, don't complain. Up here in Montreal it has consistently been around -25°F for the past week or so with a windchill factor of about -50°F (I converted the temperatures from centigrade for you guys).

It's a blustery 3 degrees here in Smithtown. With a windchill of -20.

I can't remember the last time it was this cold here.

Supposed to go below zero tonight.

It's funny how it's not even a big deal for me, I haven't even been wearing my winter jacket, just a light fall/spring jacket, because it's not as huge and bulky as my winter jacket :p. Yay for hypothermia.

Here in Michigan we have the cold weather and 9 inchs of snow on top of it. I am so moving some where warm ASAP.

Re: Pretty Cold...

Sunny Syracuse hit a high of -2 F today, stayed around -10 F with -21 F windchill all day. Similar yesterday and much the same forecasted for tomorrow.... all of the local schools have been closed, preventing progress with robotics.

What really sux0rs is that my college meanwhile thinks blustery weather such as this is ideal temps and sends us on our merry way to class....

Bout the only thing making me wish I was still in high school :D

I couldn't believe it when the guy on the radio said it was -100 w/the wind chill in New Hampshire. Thats nuts.

Re: Pretty Cold...

It's a healthy -20F or so windchill here in Ithaca, NY. There's only about 3 inches of snow from this week, but what is problematic are the gusting winds which blow the snow everywhere... hence why school was closed today. And with MLK Jr. Day on Monday, it's a 4 day weekend!! :)

-100 is a balmy day on top of Mt. Washington. :yikes: Kind of like 90 mile an hour winds are just gusts. I love it up there.

Worlds. Worst. Weather.

Well here in CT I experienced something that I have never heard of in my entire school career: a day when it was so cold that school was canceled. No snow, just insanely low temps. But I'm not complaining about a 4-day weekend.

Brrr... I just spent over 2 hours outside doing inspections. When I went out at 9:30, it was 13 degrees (this does not include wind chill factor) and now it's 22 degrees. I've got my little heater running full blast, a cup of Earl Grey and I think I can finally feel my toes again... all's good. For those of you in colder areas... don't forget your hat and gloves... for those of you in warmer areas... phltttttt! :p

Heidi

does anyone else think Earl Grey tastes like Fruit Loops?

Rushing back to the dorm after class today, I was talking to a friend about the weather. She laughed at my shivers and said, "You don't know cold. Imagine if you were up in Boston or New Hampshire right now!"

"But I was in New Hampshire! It's darn cold there too!"

A week ago, I was in Key West on a cruise. Now I'm back here in Erie, PA with the wonderful lake-effect. It's not too cold at the moment (-6F) but we have a whole bunch of snow!

It was less than 20 when I left this morning, with windchill below zero. Colder tonight. I like snow, as long as it's accompanied by snow.

Brrrr... I was excited to return home this weekend, however... up here in the mountains the wind is unbereable. At school, I live in a valley that stays slightly warmer, and thought everyone was crazy talking about how cold it was around the area. :]
