PWM Wires

Do PWM wires and end terminals have other names?

We need more terminals that will go into the speed controllers and the control system.

anyone know what they're called?

Innovation first sells PWM cables for $5 a piece...

I'll bet, however, that you can buy all the connectors and wire to make 10 (just an off-hand guess) with $5...

But in answer to your original question, no, I don't know what the technical name for the terminals is... :(

Good luck on finding components. I have been trying for 3 weeks to no avail. I have found that the 3ft length is almost always way too long and makes things look sloppy. However, Innovation First is offering 12, 24, and 36 in lengths this year which will help.
BTW, if any one knows a source especially for the end connectors (m and f) please post it.
Thanks

These are the same cables that are used in R/C aircraft to control the servos.

If you have a hobby shop that sells R/C supplies you could check there to see if they have cable ends.

Good Luck!

Tower Hobbie should have them in stock as Aileron Servo Extension cables with Hitec connections

Jameco should have the connectors, I've order the plastic housings and pin inserts from them in the past. You can find what you need in this category "Straight Headers":

I did not see them on that web site. Do you have a more specifc link or a part number?

MrB 11-02-2002 19:05

sorry, I don't have a more specific link, but they sell the headers for the cables in that section, if you were going to make your own cables.

The next best thing would be WWW.TOWERHOBBIES.COM

PWM Pins and Housings

One of the engineers on our team calls them "C-Grid" connectors because they're at a .100 inch spacing. I ordered some [female] pins and housings from Digikey. If you go to their website, www.digikey.com, and search on 50-57-9003 (housing) and 16-02-0097 (female) pins you'll see what I ordered. I'm not 100% sure they'll work yet. They're due to arrive tomorrow. I'll post a follow-up message at that time. I'm also not sure yet if using these [or modifying the cables] are legal.
