Where to buy spur gears?

I've been shopping around for some spur gears for our robots drive train and thought that it wouldn't hert to ask if anyone knew any good places to find some.

Here is the list
*looking for 1/4 - 1/2 in wide
4 - 3.1 in 60 tooth spurgear with 5/8 in bore and 1/8 in key.
24 - 2.1 in 40 tooth spurgear with 5/8 in bore and 1/8 in key.

An help is greatly appriciated...

Try Motion Industries (http://www.motion-ind.com). We've bought all our gears from them for the last 2 years. They have locations all over the US and Canada.

Searching for bearings, gears, sprockets, or ANY component? How about comparing them between several sources?

I have bought directly from the following manufacturers...
http://www.sdp-si.com (My favorite)
http://www.bostongear.com
http://www.picdesign.com (Only North American source of 0.7 module gears that mate with the drill motor pinion.)

Here are some other links...

http://www.schafergear.com

You can also get gears from Motion Industries (above), McMaster Carr, MSC, Small Parts...but they are being resold from the manufacturers listed above.

Re: Where to buy spur gears?

We got a quote from Vally chain and gear here in san diego and we were looking at something like about $500 due to the sheer quantity of spur gears that we need. It's been especialy hard this year since our team has been tight on cash. Northrup Grummen only kicked in about 3/4 of the entry fee and we had to cover the rest with our own money. If at all possiable it would be nice to either get more sponsorship and/or be able to get the gears we need for about $100.

We shopped around and Motion Industries had by far the best prices on Martin Spur Gears, as a bonus most were in stock here in MI.
