Looking for a force sensor
 

We're looking for a force sensor to use on our robot (measuring contact forces with walls, goals, etc). I have found one from Digikey that is maybe, barely adequate. Does anyone know if there is another legal force sensor our there? Newark has one that has too low a max force and is ridiculously expensive.

I have tried to look through Future but their search facility is awful.

you could make one with a spring and a poteniometer
