Ball coral
does anybody know how high the bump leading into the ball coral is? after viewing photos of the field I came across a bump leading into the ball coral so if anybody knows how big this bump is please let me know

Re: Ball coral
It is in Q&A, 1/4 to 1/2 inch I think. It is a piece of angle. But they say it doesn't affect how the ball move through the corral.

Re: Ball coral
According to these pictures, it looks like more than an angle.
Has anyone seen specific dimensions or specific materials used? ![]() ![]() |
Re: Ball coral
Here it is:
Section: 3.2.4 Status: Answered Date Answered: 1/16/2004 Q: Is there a seamless transition between the playing field and the ball chute? The kickoff video looks like there was a 1/2 inch steel bar or some structural support there. A: No. There was an angled piece of 1-1/2" x 1-1/2" aluminum in the opening with the outside of the angle facing up (~1-1/8"). In the final configuration, there will be a vertical piece of 1/4" thick aluminum with the same vertical dimension as before. The ball dynamics are the same in either configuration. Drawings will reflect this change. |
Re: Ball coral
what is that black rubber looking thing on top of the aluminum?
Can you point me to the drawing the he talks about? |
Re: Ball coral
I'm assuming the drawings the playing field. Also I would assume the black material would be a rubber-like material. Possibly to keep the rubber balls from reacting off of it.
