2. I don't know when River Rage started (popular answer), but I believe the West Michigan Invitational started in either 1996 or 1997 (I know FOR SURE that it happened in 1997 because I was there). Now, the West Michigan Invitational is not an invitational anymore, but it is still active (as a regional). So, I don't know if you would count this or not.

1. 1996 ..it was during a hurricane so it got moved inside the mall.. tons of fun!

My appologies for posting the questions so late in the past few days. The sweatshop I work at has really been pushing me to be an "Engineer" so I dont get to play on the computer as much anymore. (at least, not as much as Raul). ;)

1. Rumble at the Rock was held in 1996 in the mall during the hurricane! Amazing to see how eventually it set the standard.
