Everyone was wearing safety glasses because there was the threat of a 10 point penalty in their next match to the alliance of anyone caught in the pits not wearing safety goggles. Such threats shouldn't be necessary, but they work.

Ya i think it was good that everyone had to wear them, but then there was the problem what if you didnt have enough, my parents didnt come up till friday and my team didnt have any extra ones and the pit adminstration gave all theres out so my parents couldnt come back and see the robot up close

Just curious, but did anyone actually get penalized for this?

Man...all I have to say is that the UCF competition was AWESOME. Every part of it..the matches, the teams, everything. I'd like to thank all the teams that were there for their gracious profesionalism, and congrats to the winners (insert team numbers here, its late I can't remember). Also, thanks ComBBAT for the use of their battery charger during our 2 finals matches. I know ComBBAT and The Flashbacks will be comming here (South Carolina) for the regional, anyone else?

Ps
I have pics from my camera loaded, they'll be up shortly. And, big thanks to #233, great team, hope to work with you in the future!

You beat me to it! lol.

Yeah, tell everyone they'll loose an eye and no one cares. Tell them they'll loose 10 points, they'd come wrapped in bubble wrap if the rules called for it.

Hey, btw. No one had my flux capacitor i was looking for ;)

Well this was my last competition with SPAM (can't miss the school for palmetto, and prom is the weekend of nats). Next year i'll be on 1083, if they'll have me (seems like im not the only one). UCF was great, thanks to swamp thing, which was in my opnion the best bot out there, awesome job guy.

I really hope we can manage to hang in palmetto, and get it perfected for the championship. We got off the ground in our last match on saturday, which was a big help to our confidence in our current arm.

WOO WOO! The UCF Regional event was my first FIRST competiton ever, and let me tell you, I never had that much fun at a live sporting event. Sure I nearly lost my voice, but hey! That was the last thing I was worried about. Thank you to all the teams who made my first FIRST experience a great one! Special thanks to Coquitron (did I spell that right?) and the Red Jammers for being such great alliance partners in the finals. You guys ROCK! WOOT! :D

I will say, it was quite depressing loading all of the field equipment into the FIRST semi afterwards and just seeing the arena empty after taking everything down... but then again... the next competitions are still close. That's what's great, there's always a "next competition."

YOU asked for it! I should've known! I never heard which team asked for it otherwise I would have gone and offered my assistance in the making of one. ;) Lol.
