sounds like a good idea

Hmmmmmmmm.. that means we would have to have our robot built and running before we ship it on the 24th.

Built.

Running.

I'll have to get back to you on this - the concept of having a functioning robot prior to the first qualifying match is totally new to me.

OK, functioning is such a harsh word. If the light turns does that count? Oh wait, we don't have a rotating light this year..... what about flashing? Flashing is good.

Seth, don't touch that.....

gotta go.

sounds like a really cool idea since u guys have a full field--- well i hope our bot is done by then and we can go---- 26 more days to go---- i'm sure S.P.A.M. will try to get down if we have something to test

Ya. You too Gilligan!
lol

I dont think that we could attend those skirmishes until after the nationals, because only after nationals is any robot truly complete, well atleast in our procrastinating cases, but anywho..... ;)

I apolagize for the negativity of my team. However, I think you guys (179) know that our robot gets shipped in the crate in pieces. I guess they assembled it in time, almost in time, for our first match (qualifying, not practice). We appear to be ahead of schedule so far this year, but I shouldn't speak (type) to soon.

To my team: maybe that thing we tested out tonight (thursday night) can be tested even more at that SwampThing event.

Anyways, that would be fun.

Yeah we never did have any of our bots in how they looked finally perfected utnil the end did we?

Lexy - took of the ball lift and added a net, provison for a hanging mechanism
3-Bits - always tweaking the arm
Fluffy- Can we say spatula? I took apart that gearbox so many times I can see it my dreams...
Twitch - Always checking the chassis and figurring why the processor was messed up until we turned it over to Innovation FIRST and I gathered it worked fine in Houston.

By the way... these bots were shipped whole. though certain elements like with Lexy her lift and basket didn't work. We always had a bot there.... doesn't mean she's ready for the practice match. I would know, worked pit all 4, ran them the last two. And truely they are the pits of insanity (you gotta be nuts to work there! :D :p :D )

ON A SIDE NOTE:

THANK YOU FOR MAKING ME TAKE APART FLUFFY'S GEARBOXES ON DAY ONE OF KSC REGIONALS AND CHAMPIONSHIPS IN 2002... its helped here in Boston on NUTRONS.... arm gearbox integration woot woot! (shrinking the fisher price gearbox into a rectanuglar prism)

We're fishing for days other teams might be interested in coming. Obviously we'll be there already, and practicing (I hope) so why not have other teams come and practice with us? At the moment we have a half field completed, full center section and 2 mobile goals, 10 small balls and 2 large balls. We didnt build the spill trough yet though. We're just treating it like an open house. Show up around 11, we get there at 10, and we leave at 5. Your welcome to our tools for tweaking etc. We're getting the full field of carpet installed any day now. Please let us know specifically what days you want to come. We'll be there both weekends but we'd like to know what/who to expect. I don't think a huge team showing up would be good, so keep em under 10-15 please.

We are thinking about coming the weekend of the 14th if the robot is finished. We are going to another "scrimage" the following weekend on the 22nd. I will bring it up today.
